Hello. It does not have a tone control, but it does have a good tone, it has a tuning dial for selecting the radio station.

Is it sensitive on LW band?

yes,its very good. i live near manchester and can pick up RTE Radio 1 (252khz) clearly, which brodcasts from Dublin! and Radio 4 (198khz) is clear too. Infact, thats the reason i bought it, for LW.
