This fondant was very easy to use. I cut and hand create quite a few shapes without issue. It also was surprisingly tasty unlike other fondant.

I'm so glad I'm able to buy a true black fondant, and that it's available in multiple sizes. The food coloring available to home bakers is not intense enough to create a true black fondant, but this is true black. I don't care for the taste, but it's really for decoration, not for taste.

Arrived as described and had way more than I needed

Quantity was my only issue; I don’t know how to calculate how much I neef. The black just didn’t cover all the way around the 8” cake, it might go round a 6” cake.

I’m new to working with fondant. I’ve been making some of my own but I wasn’t confident I could make a dark black. The color on this is excellent - pure, dark, black as expected. I added cmc powder to make sure it firmed up well in a short period of time. The fondant I rolled out was made into mini chalk boards that came out great! It rolled out smooth, dried up firmly and was easy to write on with edible pen. The remainder started to get crumbly very quickly (before I finished other decorations, within maybe an hour of when I finished the chalk boards). I’m not sure if this was the cmc powder or if this version is just very quick drying. The Wilton fondant I got for a different project did not do this with the same conditions. Overall though I would use this again and just know to work quickly! It did everything I needed for my project and the small size and price point were appreciated. I definitely would not have needed more than 4oz of black fondant for most uses.
