An Interesting Plastic Treble Recorder
So far, so impressive.I have bought two of the recorders; one for a pupil, and the other to practise on myself alongside my third treble recorder, whilst numbers one and two are at the repairer's.The Classic Cantabile Bellissima has many positive qualities: a wide bore at the bottom giving real strength to the lower register; a Rosewood appearance (avoiding the traditional black-and-white plastic recorder look); and a comfortable mouthpiece. Negative qualities are that not every octave is in tune, making some of the intonation (tuning) a little wayward; and the top notes above C can have a slightly hoarse (water-logged) sound. The overall sound quality is a little awkward to describe: a pleasant huskiness is present in the sound, rather than the more wood-like focus that Yamaha YRB descants have, for example.Recorder teachers might like to try this instrument once, at least, in order to be able to compare it with Yamahas, Auloses and Trieberts for pupils moving up to the treble (alto) from the Descant (soprano). All in all, this is an interesting entrant to the plastic recorder market, which is well worth exploring.

Looks elegant and excellent for resonant low notes
This would be very suitable for a beginner /intermediate level treble recorder student as it is good value for money. The top E and especially the top F however are a little hoarse and difficult to play with the real clarity that I can get on other similar recorders. Advanced players beware!

Fan tone on this, I have another f Recoder and it was more expensive and and ton wasn't as good as this. Highly recommended

Good-ish!
I wasn't sure if I was going to get on with an Alto so didn't want to spend loads on a recorder at £15 this seemed to fit the criteria. Its not a bad recorder (and it turns out I love the Alto) but gosh the tuning is driving me mad, my mostly non musical husband assures me that he can't notice it, but the B natural is so sharp (even using the alternate and very awkward fingerings given on the chart) that I find it painful to listen to myself playing. The High E and F are as has been noted elsewhere a bit prone to cracking and after just a few weeks of playing thats also starting to grate a little. All in all I don't regret spending the money to try but I wish I'd spent double on a better student instrument from a named brand. I'll probably keep plodding on and ask Santa to buy me a wooden one ;)

Sturdy, nice looking, and good sound!
I am thoroughly impressed with this German-made recorder, as it has exceeded my expectations in terms of both sound quality and sturdiness. Additionally, the color and design are perfectly suited to my personal taste.
