Scottish Oak Whisky Half Barrel Planter Wooden Whiskey/Container Garden Pot Tub

The half barrels came a day early and were well protected. There was a lovely smell of whiskey. Proving it was genuine, good and tight ideal for any garden.

Sturdy, sizeable half-barrel, bought for creating a mini pond. Does the trick very well! No leakage at all. Rather heavy and therefore a bit difficult to manoeuvre, but that's the flip side of the item's sturdiness. I hope the metal rings round the barrel won't decay, immersed as they now are in the garden soil. Time will tell. If you wanted to use it as a planter, you'd have to ask for drainage holes to be put in (if they do that), or drill those in yourself. Delivery was super fast: it arrived a few days before it was due, and without any notification that it was on its way. Am glad I was at home...

Great half barrel! Bands were a tad more rustier than what I was expecting but the seller does mention that they will be rusty. I easily tidied this up with a wire brush and an application of some rust converter. Not the easiest to move around empty (dare say it'll be impossible once filled with soil) due to it's weight but at least it's not going to fly out the garden with strong winds. The seller also punched some drainage holes in the bottom for me, at my request and for which I am thankful for. Overall, very happy with the transaction and the final product.

Absolutely first class product

Great planter. Ordered two and arrived in less than a week. Very strong. Look good. Not too heavy. Still a Smelt of whisky which was an added bonus!! FYI you will need to drill a drainage hole in bottom before laying soil.

Does the job.

Slight delay in delivery. All resolved and arrived 2 days on. This product was well worth waiting for. Not as heavy as I was expecting as I thought was gona be a 2 man job to lift through the house to the garden. Nope. Drilled three 2 pence sized holes in the bottom and replanted my pot bound olive. I can tell he's going to thrive in this. Great care instructions came with it and good hits n tips. And reeks of whisky lol. So you can tell its the real macoy. So good I've ordered an second to finish off my garden project. Thanks. I can't believe how happy I am with this. AND I'm up-cycling.
