This is good but over a specific temp it does start to melt and is messy.

This is wonderful stuff, we used it to fix our oven seal which was hanging off. Weeks later it's still stuck firmly in place. We cleaned the area, wiped it with alcohol, left it to dry for an hour. We then put this on, it's very thick so doesn't run everywhere. We left it thirty six hours before using the oven, this was a bit extreme but wanted to be sure, and a good excuse to eat out. There was a slight smell the first time we heated the oven and there hasn't been any odour since.

Bought this product to repair a broken seal on our oven door which was causing condensation between the glass layers and was dripping water on to the bottom oven. This was a bed door on a second oven that had already had a replacement door. So to avoid the pain of yet another replacement door. I decided to effect a repair. The tube has plenty of sealant in it. Enough to seal a dozen oven doors. It is easy to apply and clean off while 'wet. The it skins over quickly and was cured in a couple of hours. The adhesion is good so far and the condensation issue has completely gone, so it has also sealed the door. The only criticism is that it only comes with one applicator which isn't enough given the amount of sealant in the tube.

I used this to stick back the inner glass into a leisure oven door. I cleaned everything well, finishing with ethanol. I put a 3 or 4mm bead into the recess in the metal door, pressed in the glass, then went around filling the gap at the edge up level. It looked great. Then I tried to lap another bead over the edge of the glass, but didn't widen the nozzle, so I got a rough finish trying to smooth and spread it. The first heating of the oven caused a considerable smell. It is OK 1 week later, the glass is in tight, and the rubber feels tough. The manufacturers representative would have charged over £100.
