I had a Zyxel FWA510 but it had a bad habit of locking up and rebooting daily was a real pain. This was coupled with a Poynting POL-1-5G 4x4 MIMO (3dbi). Top speed was around 200 Mbps but averaged 60. I swapped out the Zyxel and the increase was instant showing a steady 200Mbps topping 380. As part of my upgrade I also installed a Poynting XPOL 24 (11dbi) antenna and the improvement once tuned was in excess of 600mbps. I understand this solution was not cheap (nearly Β£800 total) but if a stable and fast 5G signal is both desired and required then this has to be part of your setup. Tip - if replacing your router, log in to the new router before installation and set the SSID and password to the same as the old router. Saves you having to log everything back in. A absolute pain especially with all your smart devices. Review: Great piece of kit - Super fast mifi device coupled to a Poynting MIMO 3-V2-17. Sky mobile sim card in slot 1 and EE sim card in slot 2. Where I store my caravan is not great for phone signal but this Teltonica RUTX50 on 4G and the poynting antenna I achieved speeds of 35Mb download using the Sky sim card. On tests local to where I live I got speeds of 120Mb on sky and 254 Mb on EE. Very happy with the speeds I would reccomend 100%.
