OXFORD OXIMISER 601 NEW FOR 2012 BATTERY CHARGER / OPTIMISER

I have a 21 reg Triumph Speed Twin. Great bike, loads of grunt, but, if I leave it too long without a ride, battery does not have enough charge to start. I'm assuming this is down to some of the electronics. Easy answer is this charger. Doddle to hard wire connect, and float charges, bike is always ready. Now the fine weather is upon us, not an issue, but very useful in the "close" season.

Excellent product from a top maufacturer. So straightforward to fit and use it is truely idiot proof. I am using it for a 12 volt 1000 cc V-strom, which through the winter mostly sits in the garage with the battery slowly but surely draining. The only thing I can't understand is why I didn't get one of these years ago. It is essential kit. Instead of hoping your battery will be ok, jump on knowing that it's tip top every time. There is a connector which you can fit and leave on your battery which then plugs directly into the charger whenever you want. This takes literally seconds to fit to the battery. There are also a set of crocodile clips that you can use if for example you were doing an occassional or one off charge to a different bike. And...exactly as described there is a wall mounted holder.

This is the second of these chargers I have bought in the past five years. I only occasionally use it during the winter. However the wire connection from the charger to the battery breaks at the flexi connector if you keep the unit in the polystyrene case. Always pack it away in the box without the insert. Should last for many more years if you follow this rule.

This charger/battery conditioner is going to save me money. I've replaced the battery in my bike 3-4 times over the last few years. I know realise this was because I didn't understand batteries properly. Having done a bit of googling and after reading the instructions included with this unit, I know realise that a battery that is well maintained can last for years.The critical thing for me was that this came with a lead that could be permanently connected to the battery. It does, and so now I can simply plug the bike in over the weekend, and it'll top up the charge, and the trickle charge it until I unplug it.Great.

I am very pleased with the Oxford 601 Battery Charger/Optimiser 2012. I fitted the weather proof lead to my Virago 1100's battery and my motorbike is now happily on trickle charge all the time - just as well with all the snow and ice we've had in the first 3 months of the year, as I've only been able to get out on my bike once since December.Fortunately the battery hadn't gone flat, although the bike had been left for over two months. The Oxford 601 Charger/Optimiser rescued it before it became too flat to start the bike and got the battery back up to fully charged, registering now 14+ volts, all ready for when Spring finally comes and I can get out on my bike again. Can't wait!

This lasted only 6 months then it stopped working, investigated and found the transformer damaged won’t buy again this product has gone down hill in my view

Mehr als Missfallen hat mir, dass das Gerät mit einem 3-poligen Hongkong-Stecker ausgeliefert wurde - somit musste ich mir noch einen Adapter kaufen ... Die Batterieanalyse zumindest war problemlos.
