Great for red dead 2 - and aiming while sprinting
Great - feel it should be a part of the controller any way by default. Only issue was trying to use with earphones on old version 1 dual shock controller. not an issue with newer version 2 - see below. Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 I got annoyed how when galloping on horse back or maintaining pace with other characters I would have to hold 'x' meaning my thumb could not be used to look around the wonderful scenery, or in gun fights to aim. Firstly I tried changing the controls on the game, which allowed me to use the shoulder button but this got rid of the tapping to sprint function, instead you just toggle pressed it. Many gamers seem to liek this but I actually really respect Rockstars choice to have you hold 'x' to run then rapidly tap 'x' to sprint it make it feel more visceral and matches more the idea of having to sprint. this product provided me with the solution as it allowed me to easily map 'x' to the left lever just where my middle finger or ring finger rests. I then also had the right lever which i chose to match to 'square'. now i can play red Dead mainly keeping my thumbs free to move and look while using my fingers under the controller to sprint and jump/climb. i switched over to No Man's Sky and was able to easily change what the lever buttons did under the controller to allow me to sprint with the left and jet pack with the right. I was concerned that the set up would be complicated but it wasn't at all. Simply clip the device onto the back of the controller, attach the very long usb cable, click ok when the rather normal wired controller message comes up. Then hold the small button at the top of the lever and press the button you want the lever to be and let go, then that lever is set. Do the same with the other one. I know nothing about the other modes and mods etc. The lever buttons feel high quality and have a nice click when pressed, after a while it just feels part of the controller and you wonder why the ps4 didn't have more of it's buttons in that position anyway. It's nice to effectively grip with your hand to run or climb. I wonder if the PS5 will have this in the controller as default. The cable is so long that i don't see how this not being wireless would be an issue. if you want to walk away form the screen for some reason and keep the controller in your hands, just quickly disconnect the cable and reconnect when you come back. Only issue I had was with audio when trying to use an old version one controller, manufacturer support were really helpful and had a chat function. Sorted it quickly, basically the version 1 controller has its code end in 1e i think and version 2 has it end 2e (you can find this code on the back of the controller under the Sony word just to the left. If its 1e you wont be able to use your earphones plugged into the controller when wired in (i just plugged the earphones into the tv instead with an extension cable). if its 2e your fine. Great product, great service - highly recomended

Potential gamechanger for some...
Well I've had the SPD for over two weeks now and can I say..... I'm impressed. The design of the SPD is well executed. Very light and adds minimal bulk to my PS pro controller. The paddles sit comfortably on the inside of the controller arc and are easily activated using my ring fingers. I'm a massive Destiny geek and have found the remappable buttons to be extremely useful in both PVE and moreso in PVP. I've mapped the weapon-swop (triangle) to the left paddle and slide/crouch/ability (circle) to the right - easily doeable by simply pressing the button above the paddle (on the back of your controller when it's attached) and then just press the controller buttons you want it to map. Easy. The hidden gems of this add-on? The 'mods' - preprogrammed and adjustable functions for each of the buttons on your ps controller when the SPD is attached and powered on. You have to let the SPD know which game you're playing and which controller scheme you use ffirst. Fairly easy to do. Want to turn your scout rifle or hand cannon into a full-auto? Select the right mod and you're good to go. Loads more options available - pulse fire, drop-shot, etc etc. Great if you're into COD. Down sides for some? You MUST use the (admittedly long!) USB cable for the SPD to work. Down side, you're tethered to the PS. Upside? Lag-free button commands. Up to you what you like. Also - my god, the manual.... Can I say is taken me a week to figure out (and remember) how to select your class and then change your mod. The manual does a TERRIBLE job of teaching/showing you how to do this. But once you figure it out its easy to do - three second to turn a mod on and off on the fly. Very useful in PVE, almost as much in PVP. (Just remember if you like using a chargeable weapon like a fusion rifle you WILL have to turn this off!) Finally, with this plugged in it registers on the PS as a headset - so NO audio through your TV, so you have to use a headset! No bother for me but worth highlighting for you lovely lot. Overall? If you're not willing to shell out +£100 for a SCUF or a Razer, but want an advantage, this might just hit the spot for you...

Great triggers really bad audio incredibly bad value for money
Let me start with a positive. The paddles on this controller add on are brilliant. Brilliant. I don't think a better position has been found. They make gaming so much better. The bad points. I am on my second one. Not a big deal until you consider I haven't been using them that long. They only come with a three month warranty which I think speaks volumes. After a while they just keep switching off. Mid game. You have to remove the power cable and plug back in. This has just started to happen on my second unit and to be honest I won't buy another at this price. If they were half the cost they are now I would consider it, but not at nearly 50 quid. I think I will save for a scuff which will last longer than one (two, three) of these. Its a shame really. Oh..... And just to add, the audio is horrific. I ended up buying a USB cable for my headset as it was almost useless through this device. Food for thought.

It's complicated love and hate relationship
So, iv used the strike pack not for around a year. And we'll.. as much as I hate the #!*%thing.. due to its multiple personalities. I refuse to not use it. And I won't replace because it's very modified personally. ~The good.. the bad.. This is a savage adapter if your looking for a Pro controller.. the paddles work exceptionally. Can be mapped to any button on the controller. And each paddle can have 2 buttons mapped. The down side is I fillings many if my friend have struggled to get to the point of this as the instructions are really not that clear. But to do this. ✧»Mapoing 1 button. °•push the select button in the left or right side of the strike pack for the paddle u want mapping. Keeping hold of the select button press the button u want to map for instance (×) and release both buttons at the same time. ✧»mapping two buttons to the paddle. °•Start same process. But instead of releasing both buttons. Keep the select paddle button pushed. Press as normal the first button u want to map - (×) and then press hold the second button u would like to also map, say like (o) .. and then release both the paddle select an (o) at the same time. This should work. ✧ you should probably reset the full strike pack and start there mods again. To see if this is the problem with any glitches in games you have. ✧Also make sure that your settings around the strike pack are exactly the same to the ones on your console. And in the game. °•For example: "Rumble" if u have the controller vibration off on console but turned on in game an not even sure in strike pack. This can throw the hole communication method off. then acts like it's got multi personality disorder. ✧Make sure you connect the strike pack the same way as instructed every time. ✧I have seen reviews concerning there head sets and the strike pack. I to also found this problem after a few week. Tho I actually found away to manage it. Still gives a slight buzz noise for any team members playing with me. But not for my self. An it isn't loud enough to bug people. I'll post my steps solving below. also I play CoD MW I'm not sure it would be the same for other games. ✧When u turn on PS4 controller with the strike pack connected but not plugged in. ✧Go to you console settings↬Devices↬Audio Devices. And the connections should say... ᨞input device → headset ᨞output device → TV or AVamp. ᨞Adjust mic lvl - « ıllıllııllıllı » + ᨞Headset volume - « ıllıllııllıllı » + ᨞Output to headset → All Audio ᨞Switch Output to Device Automatically [✓] °✩°Switch Output to Device Automatically!↤this here is always usually turned on [✓] If this is the case. Turn it of. [ ] ✧Once u have turned it of. Connect your strike pack 2 console as usual with USB, As u do normally. and icon will pop up in top left corner, 『controller symbol』 ~And you will be in【tournament mode】•white lights•. ✧From there. Switch your strike pack to【Mod Mode】•Blue lights•.» ᨞Hold left select button and press right select button. Then plug your head set into the controller. Here u will the see another pop up notification saying『microphone switched to headset connect controller』 ✧Once you have done this. Go back to settings↬Devices↬Audio Devices. And the connections should say... ᨞input device → headset ᨞output device → TV or AVamp. ✧Change the "Output device" to Headset connected controller. ✧The proceed with loading your game as usual. This rectified the headset problem for me. Tho when I game. Friends mentioned they could hear aloud buzzing from my mic. To solve this in CoD. ✧Again settings↬Devices↬Audio Devices ᨞input device → headset ᨞output device → Headset ᨞Adjust mic lvl - « ıllıllııllıllı » + ᨞Headset volume - « ıllıllııllıllı » + ᨞Output to headset → All Audio ᨞Switch Output to Device Automatically [ ] ✧Go to adjust mic volume. An just switch it off. Pull it down in to too low. As long as you have °mic volume° in game settings turned up. You can still be herd, and that horride buzzing vibrating noise becomes very minimum. ((I like like to turn my •Mic Threshold• to about 2 1/2 on the in-game settings)) So then the buzzing isn't constant. Hope this helps.

Not worth the frustration it will give you. Has caused many issues with my v2 ps4 controller!
I received the product in good condition. It worked wonderfully, I was able to assign buttons as suggested and there were no controller malfunctions at first. However, after a short time I would run into small bugs which caused annoyances, miscommunications, and some frustration. Things like, no sound in the headset after plugging in, other times half the game sound coming out of the controller despite all settings related to controller speakers turned off. unplugging the controller and removing the strike pack, then plugging the controller in, then unplugging and reconnecting strike pack and plugging in does seem to fix these issues. Later on however, my controller would occasionally not turn on, then eventually it stopped working altogether. I am troubleshooting this with another controller i have ordered to see what else I can find out. After testing it with another controller I was unable to get sound with my headphones. even the unplug and replug twice thing did nothing. the system detects it as a headset somehow and so I cannot use this product as it was meant to be or advertised

BUYER BEWARE! - With happy ending.
Pros - Quality build, ready out of the box, takes abit of time to get use to, but has increase my experience with FPS games greatly! But...... Cons - Not compatible with Dual Shock 4 V1 controller. You may need to spend more money to work around this issue! I've got the early 500GB PS4. When you connect the Strike Pack to the controller and plug headset into the 3.5mm jack, it doesn't detect it?! I tried many headsets! I've also tried every troubleshooting method found online, as others have had this issue. Nothing worked. Some have even suggested a V2 Dual Shock may work?? I did find a way to get audio and voice chat through the headset, but it resulted in the paddles disabling. Very disappointed that I cant use headphones in controller at the same time, dispite the design of the product allowing access to the port..... Im testing a cheap solution, by purchasing a USB Sound Card adapter to plug my PC headset with a separate 3.5mm headphone/mic. Hopefully this works. UPDATE: The USB Sound Card I ordered worked!!!! If u have PC Headphones already, I can CONFIRM this option will fix the incompatibility issues!!! #savemoney ;)

R6 Siege & Other FPS Games
Had the Strikepack for a year and it's a mixed bag. It works well for games like Rainbow Six Siege, where the mod and button mapping improve your gameplay. However, I've encountered issues with other games due to conflicts in mod editing such as recoil control values; each game has their own "profile" meaning you need to swap profiles on their software which can be frustrating since you need to unplug the device, replug, update etc no easy way. To set up the profiles for different games, you need a yearly subscription for their mod editing program ("The Mod Pass") which is roughly £12, may be more haven't checked in a while, though it's worth noting that if you make your edits and are satisfied with them, you won’t need to reactivate the subscription to keep those changes BUT now you're limited to that single game profile on your strikepack, which for me was R6 and I didn't mind. A significant downside is that it must be plugged into the console at all times; this can create a buzzing sound when using headphones especially for those people who notice they have bzzzz when they're charging their controller. I absolutely lost my mind over it in the beginning, it disrupts the immersion, especially for games that rely on subtle audio cues and footsteps. However, you slowly get used to it, developing your own way of ignoring it and eventually cancelling it out completely. (I used to put my headphone wire over the cushioning of the headphones to create a small distance, and it would muffle the noise for me) ^ Can't say the same for the people who are in ps chat with you and hear your buzzing, you kind of figure that out over time as well. (I bought a cheap headphone cable with a mic in it, wrapping it around the headphone so that it's near my mouth, and it would work well for friends to not hear the controller buzzing) Overall, it's a decent product for certain games but has its limitations for sure, quite a hassle to set up with headphones or in general since each has their own problems. Works very well with siege so it was worth the troubles. Hope my review helps you. :)

Cracking bit of kit let down by build quality
I was eyeing up a few different gaming pads but they're so over priced when you can just get one of these instead. Surprisingly well made - the feel of the plastic goes perfectly with the controller, the fit is spot on and the buttons have a nice click similar to the shoulder buttons and ideally placed. It's not going to turn you into a crazy wizard of course but having all your essential skills at your fingertips at once makes gaming feel more smooth. I just use it to map X and O so I can jump/crouch without taking my thumbs off the sticks - I could just change to bumper jumper settings but being able to bunny hop up to peak over a fence and throw a stick of thermite into somebody's face or launch off an RPG round is very satisfying and feels just right to do. Also even in Witcher - I found the controls a bit wonky even after over 100 certain actions I want to complete just don't feel smooth but with this I can change all that with just two extra buttons and it's so easy to remap that going from one game to another is really simple to remap if you need to. Gave it four stars though as I have big hands and it's really easy to accidentally click the small remap buttons on the back and end up remapping your paddle buttons - add a feature to lock these and it's be perfect. Why on earth Sony hasn't cottoned on that people want these features is beyond me! Edit - changed to 2 stars after using it for about a month the clip that goes over the PS button snapped on one side of the circle so it wouldn't hold as firm, eventually the whole thing came off but despite contacting the makers of this product to ask if a replacement clip could be sent out I've had no response at all from them. It's a shame really as it's a good product aside from that clip so easily breaking with low to average usage.
