Actually impressed!
I have to say I was skeptical that this heater would actually perform like I wanted. I bought an insulated dog house this past summer and wanted to heat it for our Maverick this winter. Dog house has 1.5" thick foam insulated walls and roof. Installed heater a few days ago and got the wifi app set up today. As you can see in the pictures, outside temp is 21°F and the current temp inside dog house is 53°F and it was still climbing. The set point is 65°F, I don't expect it to reach 65°F when it's 21° outside, but 53° is impressive given outside temp and the fact that the doggie door is not sealed. If it doesn't reach set point, I will lower it just so heater will kick on/off.I will say that my insulated dog house is in my garage which helps protect from wind, but garage is not heated. The dog house is only accessible from the outside so wind does play a factor, but heater is performing very well given all circumstances.I would definetly recommend this heater (Im not paid for my opinion). Definetly pay the extra $$ for the wifi capable one, having the app and ability to see current temp and adjust from anywhere gives me peace of mind while I'm not home.Time will tell of the products longevity, but current performance I am definetly impresses by.App was slightly confusing to set up only because I wasn't exactly sure which appliance to choose from the lengthy list, but QR code instructions helped.

Incredible heater
My wife and I built an outdoor insulated "cat house" two years ago. We installed a standard 300w dog house heater at that time. The cat house has a camera and a Smartthings motion/temperature sensor. We can set motion and temperature alerts to our phones. With our monitoring the best temperature differential we ever achieved was 45F over the outside air temperature. When it was 10 degrees outside, the house temperature would be 55F. The original heater was becoming unreliable and I had to repair it. In anticipation of a complete heater failure during the colder winter months we purchased this heater. It was easy to install and set up. Today it is -3F outdoors. The temperature inside of the house is averaging 72-78F! Keep in mind this is a very well insulated house. To achieve this temperature differential is amazing! I'm more than average mechanically. I'm stunned that this heater can perform so much better with the same 300w power.

Thermostate
Loved everything about this heater. Went to put it in our dog house and noticed the thermostat is very thick and does not come unconnected to thread through a hole in the dog house unless making it very big.

Looks heavy duty
I have had this installed for around a month. We have to sometimes kick the dog out early in the morning when we leave and he is fighting a medical issue. We ordered this heater based from what we read on Amazon. The device is larger than expected which is fine. The build seems to be very good and the level of heat is fine for our region. The system is either on or off, manually, by schedule, or timer. You cannot set the heat level, but this means the heater will shut off at a set temperature. The heater system is just one amount of heat, duration heats up the enclosure to your desired level. The app is easy to use and instal. The manual control is also easy to use. We recommend this product.

Keeps my dogs warm
I've been using this in my doghouse through the winter and its the second year I've used it. They have a magnet seal door that keeps the heat in. It stays warm and they love it. The only con is that if you lose power, the heater does not turn back on when the power comes on. The only way to know is if you go check it or if you check the app.

Lasts
I used this heater for my tortoises dog house last winter. I left it in the dog house all summer, and just plugged it back in for the first time in 9 months. It connected to WiFi immediately, updated, and fired right up and is warming my tortoise again. Definitely recommend.

Could be a great heater... but
I purchased this heater for use in a hen house. It has been in use about a month and a half now.The main reason I want to "heat" the space is just to keep the water from freezing. So, I didn't purchase the heater to keep the whole coop warm, but rather to keep a water source near the heater from turning to a block of ice. However, I am currently raising chicks and expected this heater to help the ambient temperature from dropping too low.Out of the box, I was very pleased with this heater. Light weight, good construction, visually appealing. The heater was very easy to mount.I downloaded the app and successfully linked the heater. It's very convenient to be able to monitor and adjust the temperature from a phone. Note: Anticipate this step to take a bit of time. There are MANY options to search through to find the correct device in the app.Once the heater was in operation, I found the temperature reading of the heater is not the ambient temperature of the coop. My coop is approximately 6' wide x 10' long x 8' tall, which is a lot of area for one of these little heaters to try and heat. I can only guess the heater reads the temperature very close to the heating unit, as the heater can be displaying a reading of 70° F and directly across the coop from the heater, approximately 6' away, a separate thermometer reads 48° F ...and the other separate thermometer in the furthest corner from the heater reads even lower. To test the accuracy of the heater's temperature reading, I put a thermometer very near it. The heater's reading is pretty accurate. The issue with the heater registering a temperature so much higher than the other locations in the coop is the heater shuts off because it has reached the set temperature.I may try installing a small fan near the heater, as I believe part of the issue to be that the fan doesn't really "blow out" heat. So a small area near the heater is heated but that's about all.Because the heater is in a coop, I do blow it out with air every weekend to keep it performing well. It doesn't take long at all to complete this task, as the heater is easy to unmount and remount to the included bracket. A very thoughtful feature I appreciate. The biggest drawback to this heater is that it does not resume in a "power on" mode after electricity is lost. So, if during the night the power flickers, the heater will be off until you wake up and manually power the unit back on. This is a major concern for my use of the heater, especially since we have a lot of power flickers. This issue is the main reason I rated the heater as only a 2 star item.
