How often should this be applied to plants, e.g. a border? Weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually?

I use once a month around my veg patch and fruit bushes. I fork it into the soil and then spray with water just lightly, I find this helps my plants .

whats best for fruit bearing plants for keeping roots soil Good

Put a mulch around the base of the plant after feeding with compost with added bone meal or chicken pellets. We mulch with bark as we have our own after tree felling. Soft fruit and rhubarb gets real hose manure but it needs to be a couple of yrs old or buy form garden centre ready to use.
