Advanced BHA Salicylic Acid Scrub Soap – Exfoliating Bar for Face & Body, Deep Pore Cleanser, Anti-Blemish, Skin Softening

This is my go to when i want to exfoliate my skin, but because it is quite drying i dont use it everyday. Once a week is fine on my face with this soap. I think it has contributed to helping control spots also

Highly recommend, love this product, I only just purchased but already from one use leaves your skin feeling refreshed, and silky smooth. Also love the smell its not too over powering but suttle which is nice!

According to the seller, this bar has only 0.4-1% salicylic acid, which is quite a large range (therefore we don’t really know how much we are getting) but also very low compared to most over the counter products which can range from 0.5-2%. A more potent ointment/serum can range from 2-6%. This basically means that the soap is safe for everyday use on most skin which isn’t sensitive, but be wary that overexfoliation is a thing and can make your skin worse if you don’t know what you’re doing. I would only recommend using this directly on your BODY as the skin on the body is thicker and therefore more resistant to acid and exfoliation, especially if using multiple times a day. Do NOT use the bar directly on your face as the apricot scrubs is way too harsh and will cause havock (micro tears in your skin, inflammation, acne). The formulation of the soap (as expected with all bar soaps) is also very drying which is another reason why you shouldn’t use this on your face. There are other toners, serums and facewashes designed for the face with acid which will be far more gentle and effective. Luckily the bar lathers up quite well so it’s best to lather some into your hands and then spread it onto the area. You also have to leave it for a little bit of time to actually let the acid work (on my body I wait about 3 minutes). If you wash it off straight away then the only thing about it that will exfoliate you are the kernels if you rub the bar straight on your body. The outside of the bar was quite smooth and I didn’t think that there were many kernels in there, but once you get past that layer there are quite a few and it does work quite well as a scrub. I’ve been using the bar once everyday for a month on my chest, back, shoulders and arms for tackle body acne and I’ve used up about 1/3. I read some reviews that the smell was bad, thankfully those were all rubbish as it literally just smells like clean soap, which is good. As for the effectiveness, I’ve noticed a smoothness in my skin, and some dark marks have faded over time, with no irritation (except for the kernels from the manual scrubbing which are to be expected). The active acne had started to decrease over the first 2 weeks. Once I got to about week 3-4, I noticed that the acne started to get worse and I think it is due to the irritation of the scrubbing. I will use the bar up for another 2 months to see if there are any further improvements. If you’re looking for something for body acne then I would give this a go to try as it is fairly inexpensive and could work. The formulation and product itself is good, as long as you educate yourself on skincare and do not overuse it.

Never write reviews but I’ve had such a good experience I had to share. Suffered from acne & congested skin since a teen- tried just about every product and skin routine on the market from own brands to Clinique or Elemis- these products have been the only products to make a visible and effective difference to my skin. Often I’d go for weeks feeling like I couldn’t leave the house without some kind of concealer or makeup on (which being a busy mum just made me so depressed and added to my busy morning). I’m finally getting weeks where I don’t even bother now, my skin has cleared significantly. I may have the odd few days where that hormonal acne just breaks through on the jawline but it’s never more than a few little bits I don’t feel overwhelmed by. After reading up on how the ingredients target and work, I now alternate between the glycolic acid (pink one) for days if I’ve got a few spots coming, salicic acid (green one) on days I’ve had a full face of makeup and could do with my skin being lightly exfoliated (after initially using squalane cleansing balm to remove makeup) and the ceramide bar for everyday use. I combine with Science of Skin Cleanse No. One - Micellar Foaming Face Cleanser for Problem Stressed Skin in the morning because I feel using the bars morning and evening may be overkill and dehydrating on the skin. My one feedback would be for a product that does better at unblocking blocked pores for blackheads

It’s okay but not amazing The soap smells nice and feels refreshing on the skin, but I didn’t notice a big difference in my spots or pores. It does exfoliate gently, but it can feel a bit drying if used every day. Good for occasional use, but not as effective as I expected for the price

Insgesamt ein solides Produkt für Menschen mit unreiner oder fettiger Haut, wobei man die Anwendung an den eigenen Hauttyp anpassen sollte.

doesn't work, and soap is bad for skin, clog pores, i switched to salilyic acid serum and facial wash

Buon scrub, la pelle diventa secca, liscia e pulita. Dopo con un buon idratante e diventa perfetto.

Okay now with this product, im not even gnna lie i feel it has rlly made a difference on my face. I dont have pimples but i have some dark spots on my face and i feel this soap has really helped my face GLOW and aswell slowly fade the dark spots. The first pic is my face before i started using it. And the second pic is about almost a month of using it. I havent been really consistent with it but i just wash my face with it every night with my spin brush. I really love this. It hasnt caused anything bad on my face. But everyones skin is different so what may work for one may not work for another

I don’t do many product reviews, but when an item I’ve given a try actually does what it claims to do, I have to rave!! I am 74 years old and have used a lot of low end as well as very high end products. This small simple, no frills soap bar (I think it’s made in the UK??) is noticeably superior to any soap bar of this type, I’ve ever used on my face. I have to wonder what those who give it poor reviews are expecting from this type of soap! Perhaps they are confused about how a BHA Salicylic Acid soap bar works. I only use my Revitale soap bar on my face.
