Bought this as a gift for a friend who was getting into matcha, and I bought myself another similar one where the matcha bowl has a pour spout. I love how complete the kit it - I bought them about a year ago and I still use mine. My friend loved the pattern of this one and she also appreciated the quality and value of this item. Comparing it with the items I use, since my kit was from the same vendor, it's very durable. My sifter and scoop are still in good shape, as well as the bamboo whisk, although I know I need to get a new whisk soon. The bowl in the perfect depth and shape for mixing without any spills.

Use this daily, it pops often i think from it being cracked glaze but with the dark inside they're either really small or just haven't cracked enough to show up. It's a great matcha set

Not much else to tell, other than there are many to look at, and it is your choice of what you want, in look, price, items in the set, it is all up to you. Happy with this purchase. This is one of the most well packaged beginner matcha kit set. It literally has everything you need/want plus extra. After much use, I find that the whisk, strainer, scoop & chasen bowl is most important. The whisk holder is not super necessary, but definitely useful for the longevity of the whisk. The book is also very helpful for beginners in how to use these provided products. The mat is the one I find the most useless in the most day to day operations. I don't use it at all. But maybe if it was a more serious preparation, then I could see how it could be useful. I've been using it multiple times now and have gone though 2 matcha powders tins. I feel like I would suggest this product for the price and everything that's included. However after much use, I feel that if I had to nit-pick something... I wished that I had chosen a different color bowl. Despite the initial cool design of the bowl, I feel like the color is a bit too dark. A lighter colored chasen bowl would be better to see how foamy your matcha is. Also, the bowl doesn't necessarily need to be this big. A slightly smaller bowl would also be equally efficient. Otherwise, the other products in this box works fine and is still useful to this day.

First, before I give my take, let me say... get a good quality Matcha (try matcha.com). If it's cheap, expect to get, and taste, what you paid for. I bought an organic ceremonial grade matcha that is so nice. I really like this set and recommend it for 1st time matcha users, such as myself. Everything is here that you need. I was going to give it 4 stars because the chasen is not a great quality and some of the tines are already broken off at the end after just a few weeks of use. It will get me by for now, but I will invest in a better one. Other than that, it's all good including the fine mesh strainer, however you don't need a strainer for matcha. Just put a tsp (2 scoops using the included stick) in the bowl and add 1TBS ROOM TEMP water (not cold or hot!). Stir gently for 30 sec to a minute with the chasen and the matcha will be glossy with no lumps. Then add 3TBS of boiled water and mix using the customary chasen technique for a fine froth. Plenty of YouTube videos to teach this process. Enjoy the ritual, the taste and the calm. Also be sure to try lattes with warm oat milk and get a manual frother if you want to add it as a milky foam (no need for electric). Another fun option, if you have it, is to add 2 tsp of lavender simple syrup to about 1/2c whole milk for a yummy foam topping to an iced matcha latte (add 3/4c cold oat milk to the tea, then the foam).

I love this set. I saw some reviews mentioning that the glaze cracks but I never drink hot matcha so I don't use hot water to make my matcha shot so I won't have that issue with mine. If you only intend to drink it iced, this kit might work for you. I feel it's very nice quality. I got the gorgeous blue set and I'm very happy with it.

På bilden syns tydliga färger och ett vackert mönster, men den jag fick är helt mörk och saknar alla dessa detaljer. Den ser helt annorlunda ut i verkligheten. Kvaliteten verkar okej och resten av setet fungerar, men jag är inte nöjd med att produkten inte matchar beskrivningen.
