It did a good job of lighting, but, at 1000 watts, was somewhat less than energy efficient. We were looking for a replacement and saw this on desertcart. It was far less expensive than others we looked at, so we gave it a try. It does a good job of illuminating our 40 x 12 foot deck. The adjustable side lights help to even out the light. We didn't need a motion sensor, so I can't speak to that. The design made installation easy, although working at the top of a 12 foot step ladder was a little exciting. A cross piece attaches to a standard electrical box. The wiring is color coded to match standard AC wiring. Once the wiring is hooked up a single center screw attaches the unit to the crosspiece. There is a gasket that seals the light housing to the electrical box, and a plastic trim cap to fit over the center screw. The center mounting screw keeps the gasket in place while mounting. All of the parts for installation are included, as well as three twist on wire connectors. No extra parts were needed. The housing is plastic and looks great. We are in New England, with snow and cold in the winter, and the fixture is on the west side of the house and is exposed to many hours of direct sun in the summer, so it remains to be seen how it will stand up to this harsh environment. That said, this was about a third of the cost of a standard fixture, and includes the lighting units, so, even if it has to be replaced down the line, it's still a good buy! Includes mounting hardware
Wonderful light. This has a single bolt hole through the center. This comes with a cross bracket for mounting to a box for a threaded bolt to go the bolt hole. It has what will work for most boxes.

Brighter than expected.
Mounted this at about 16' and thought i messed up. Easy install. Mounted weather proof box and caulked around. I drilled out of the attic a little higher than i thought i was. Mount seals to box with provided gasket. It's so bright our security cameras turn back to daylight color mode when turned on. Impressive. Will revisit in a few months. We did not want motion detection. Edit. 9-21-24: still impressive bright. No issues with quality.

Easy and Bright
This was easy to install replacing an old fixture (old halogen spotlight), and if you want to see the sun at night - look no further. This thing will light up a back yard without any issues. We use it to illuminate a pool at night and there is no problems seeing anything. Well worth the money.
