I hate fishing. There, I said it. My son, however, loves fishing, which means I periodically find myself standing near a body of water watching a small piece of string with the intensity of an air-traffic controller. These little PowerBait nuggets have become his secret weapon. They’re inexpensive, easy to put on the hook, come in appropriately ridiculous fish-attracting colors, and—most importantly to the adult who has to handle them—don’t smell like something that died underneath a dock. And they work. Annoyingly well. I have no idea what secret addictive fish formula Berkley has developed here, but apparently somewhere underwater a crappie is telling another crappie, “Just try one. I can stop whenever I want.” My son catches fish. He’s delighted. I congratulate him enthusiastically while quietly realizing that every successful catch has just extended the fishing trip another 45 minutes. VERDICT: Fish love it. My son loves it. I deeply resent its effectiveness. 5/5.

I love Berkley power baits and have used them for years. I thought I would use these along with curly grub tails for added attraction. They are very soft and come off the hook easily. I plan on using them for ice fishing. I hope they stay on the hook better when your not casting. Overall the fish do seem to like them.

Caught multiple bluegill on this bait, it's pretty reliable and cheap

Crappie like them

Never caught a crappie using these for some reason. I have them stuck on the point of my hook with a soft plastic on a jig head. I catch fish without them but whenever I use no fish…

I used these to take my 3-year old great nephew fishing for the first time. He caught 3 bluegills within about 20 minutes. That was about all his attention span was going to allow. He did get excited!

If they’re biting that day/time, they are biting this. Keep some hand sanitizer and water in the tackle box. Makes your fingers smell like you were playing with a homeless chick in a Florida August. Not even joking. It’s just like that gulp shrimp spray.

These nibbles are very attrative for crappies, very satisfied for the result! Just hook on jigs, with little plasitic bait for crappie. I tried hook it with salted minnow also, it works as well. Hooked up small mouth bass and walleye as well! Easy to store, carrying and using.

Head to head with minnow tails on perch and these took the win. I do recommend
