Thanks** A: After at least 3 months training, yes you could use these for a marathon. I have several different types of vibrams and used all types for 4 marathons and 2 ultras. It really comes down to preference. Most important bit of advise is to stretch your Achilles’ tendon constantly as this is where you have the greatest chance of an injury when barefoot/natural running. I have been pleased so far and my expectations have been exceeded. I owned a pair of vibram bikila 10 years ago so I knew roughly what to expect from the product. I am a size 9/43 and these slip on much easier and without needing to tighten the laces on the upper. So far they have not begun to smell like the other pair as this was always a problem. I have worn them every day for a few hours inside, also outside up the hill, along the high street and in the mud if it's unavoidable. They appear to be as tough and hard wearing as my previous pair.
