Generally Good, though I think there may be Quality Control issues...
Looking through the reviews for these, they are quite mixed, and I think know why.I've bought 3 set of these. 2 of them were fine, but the last lot I bought came in slightly different packaging, and basically didn't work at all. The metal ring that holds the spring in place was completely malformed, so when I opened the package, the whole thing fell to bits. The first two sets I've got though are fine. I would echo some of the other reviewers in that the design isn't the best, so I wouldn't use these on an expensive guitar, but I've been using the locks now for a few months at practices, changing between guitars and suchlike, and all OK so far.The design isn't the greatest - the spring lock is basically held in place by a metal ring under tension, which doesn't fill you with confidence as it's literally just the tension holding the whole thing together. That was the issue with the dodgy set - the ring didn't provide enough tension. It makes you wonder how long, or how many 'pulls' these things will take.At the end of the day, they are £7 give or take. Are they worth it? Yeah, but you get what you pay for. I have a suspicion that they aren't going to last all that long, but they'll do me for now. If you're going to do regular gigging with expensive guitars, I'll spend a little more and get something a bit more solid.

Reccomend for lower value guitar
No real complaints. I have a Yamaha Pacifica 112v and while not the most expensive guitar in the world it was the most I could afford so I didn't want to smash it on the ground or hurl it through the neighbor's window while I'm doing a windmill, so thought strap locks would be good. Not intuitive to dismantle when installing but you unscrew, squeeze the spring and pop out the centre (thanks to the person who answered that in the questions). I reused the screws already in the guitar, thought it was the safer option both to install and for long term wear and tear (the screws from the Yamaha do fit the locks)Only slight negative comment is that they are fairly large (pictures to show, BIC lighter for scale). Now I'm new to this game so I don't know if that's normal or if these are meant for a larger guitar maybe a les Paul or a bass or something. Or maybe this is just par for the course.I wouldn't stick them in any guitar more expensive. I don't think they will fail and they didn't damage the guitar when installing but really, if I had a fender or a Gibson I'd cry once and spend the extra 10'er on a recognised brand rather than weep uncontrollably twice having to retrieve my £1000 fender from the neighbor's living room

Shockingly low quality
terrible build quality, sharp edges everywhere and some of the lowest quality castings I have ever seen. But worst is that sprung pins that are meant to secure the strap to the guitar only stick out about 0.01mm I can pull off with just a quick yank so I would not trust these to hold any guitar costing more than £50. I would have to be crazy to my guitar to these. So much for saving a few pounds. Straight to the bin with these and now I still have to shell out for something descent.

Work really well
These strap locks work wonderfully well, they’re well made with no sharp edges and are really secure, occasional tightening is needed but this is due to sling movement beware of the supplied screws, they are quite thick, so be prepared to use the screws already on the guitar, would advise not using a drill or forcing the larger screw as you could easily split some nice plank of wood

Highly Recommended
Brilliant, significantly cheaper than the visibly identical ones with a brand name stamped into the flange, with which they're entirely compatible in my experience, meaning I can use the same strap with different guitars.Everything was great until Amazon Suggested by email I might be interested in, again, visibly identical straplocks that were less than half the price of these including delivery. Do they all come out of the same factory? I don't imagine there are lots of factories involved in producing these things.Anyway - always happy to save a few pounds by doing away with just a brand name on something that appears to be the exact same.

Very good strap locks easy on and off and secure
I was about to slate these, I thought they were just screw on every time you use the strap which would have been ridiculous, they didn't have any instructions and reading reviews here and watching YouTube videos taught me they have a collar that needs pulling up to release the part that screws into the guitar, once that was discovered I could instantly see the appeal. Very good strap locks easy on and off and secure. Happy now.

Fitting was easy, the provided screws were longer and slightly larger ...
Exactly what I wanted, I damaged one of the strap attachments and figured why not upgrade. The mechanism is very secure and free moving I already trust it to hold if I'm moving around.Fitting was easy, the provided screws were longer and slightly larger in diameter than the originals so went in easy but secure. The strap is sandwiched between two washers and tightened in with a knurled bolt. The mechanism is triggered by pulling the bottom section up against a spring, I dont see it happening by accident, you have to compress the spring to get it on or off.Im very happy with it :)

Not robust enough.
I bought two sets of these locks off here last year. On one of them, the spring mechanism failed within a few months. On another, the head of the screw sheered off. So I still have one pair in use- we'll see how long that lasts. Not up to regular gigging.
