My son wanted his own diaper bag and choose this one. He loves all the pockets and the built in diaper changing pad. He is 6'2" and proudly carries his multi-function backpack diaper bag :)

I used this bag for an airline “personal item” under-the-seat carry-on, not a diaper bag. I removed the magnetic-snap changing pad and used that compartment for the food I brought on board. I’m an older woman and I’m guessing this is actually a “dad-bag” because of its style, gray/black color palette and the fabric used. There were s lot of bags to choose from in these colors, and I was disappointed I couldn’t find any lighter colors and with a light-colored interior, because you can see everything better inside a light-colored lining. The outside feels like nice stuff if you like the feel of automobile fabrics and upholstery, one fabric feels a bit rough to me, and the other feels smooth, but feels like athletic shoemaking fabric. I’m looking for the fabrics to be smooth, slick, lightweight, yet still strong, so I may be disassembling this and changing the fabrics as well as adding two-way zippers on every pocket. The layout is 5-Star-fabulous (the fabrics caused me to drop a star because to me, they are a 2-star choice) and because of that great design layout, the function-ability of this bag was so helpful, using it was a rummage-free experience do to side-wall pockets on NINE surfaces(!)—BEAT THAT, and many of those had multiple pockets, so there are more that 16 built-in pocket dividers, etc!! AND, I also added my own handbag insert into the main section at the bottom that has another dozen+ small pocket sections. In all the flights I’ve ever been on this is the first one that was rummage free, and that is saying a lot. I would definitely recommend this bag as there are probably a lot of people who would actually like the fabric is made of. It is tough and strong and has a classic look. I would recommend the manufacturers to change at least one thing though and that is to put to a zippers on the two sections that are insulated for water bottles or baby bottles or anything that needs to stay cold or hot. Zippers open from the bottom zipping up but they really need to open from the top zipping down. A two-way zipper would be most ideal and a stiff rigid cord along the zipper line would help make it zippable with ONE hand. The floppiness of those two cooler-sections’ zippers cause it to need to be opened with two hands making it so that you have to put down the baby or your luggage or whatever else you’re doing and use two hands to operate those two zippers. The other zippers are pretty much easily opened with one hand. There are six zippers altogether on the outside. The inside has at least two more zippers I think. I honestly believe the buying this bag just one of the most helpful things that I’ve bought in the form of travel gear. If it were waterproof and I’m not sure whether it is or not it would be great for backpacking gear. As for myself I am going to kick it up a notch with some “ripstop-by-the-roll” (a company that has amazing survival fabrics) waterproof nylon fabric. I will probably add and my lunch for those two zippers as well. It helps that I am a seamstress and a pattern maker. But I can see that if you are not a designer or so or pattern-maker, this bag is just great as it is. I am inclined to tweak almost everything I buy, so that’s just me. I chop off sleeves, I alter my jewelry, I take the scissors to my shoes. So don’t think that this bag actually needs any changes to make it extremely functional. I would love to see the price drop down about $20 at least, but I’m not sorry I spent $80 + tax. Kudo’s to the designers—this rummage-free design format was long overdue. It inspires me to redesign a lot of my other gear. When you open up this bag, and the slant opening is especially great, you see everything all at once. You just can’t beat that great layout, but just keep in mind, I added my portable handbag insert into the main section bottom straight over from my purse. Oh, and incidentally, this bag would also be great for a 72-hour emergency kit for first aid bag.

My daughter was born July 3rd. I only used this diaper bag a handful of times. The strap snapped and is unable to be repaired. total waste of money!
