It's a power supply and it works fine, what else can one say other than it has a longer mains cable then the one originally supplied with the Surface Pro.

The black cord protecting the wires started to sever within the first month of use. Now it doesn’t charge my tablet at all after only 4 months. There was no excessive use to cause this damage; it just sort of deteriorated. I’ve had my original one for 2 years with no problems.

It does the job but it has a very weak magnet so the wire falls out more and the light at the end only shows that there is a power running through the wire, not whether it is connected to the device and charging.For the money it's ok but if you're bothered about the finer details you might want a different one. I find it a bit annoying, but I'd rather put up with it than pay the ridiculous money Microsoft charge.

disappointed with this product, does not charge the computer after battery reaches 40%, which is not helpful at all if you need to take the computer and work offsite. The battery makes this annoying noise. It's just no good at all, very bad product.

great as a spare just gets a little hot

Works perfectly with my Surface Pro 4. The power supply end is longer than the standard one that comes with the tablet, so that was a nice bonus.

I had really high hopes for this, as I had read some good reviews. However, in desperate need of a charger, this is the one I bought. I was elated when the Prime delivery turned up when they said they would. I was happy with the packaging as it was well packaged and this obviously showed me that they knew what they were doing.There is only one problem with this purchase, and only one. But that being a point of failure for me meant there was no way I could give this product more than 1 star. For this I am sorry. The issue is that it simply did not charge the laptop when it was on. When I am working on videos, designs and such, I tear through the battery, I may only get 3-4 hours out of it, whereas a normal day on Word and Excel can mean 8-9 hours. Plugging in the charger only extended the range, the battery still depleted, just at a slower rate. When you turn the laptop off and plug it in, it charges away like a normal laptop. But a power supply is meant to allow you to work and charge at the same time. This sadly did not.

Good for holiday use. Use Docking station otherwise.
