Easy to use and accurate.
This Bluetooths to an app on your phone to auto record results. Had little idea about it when it first arrived but very quickly got the hang of it. Great bit of kit.

NOT for UK market. Misleading listing
Would be zero stars if I could give it. Not for UK market. Test results are factory set AND LOCKED to Mg/DL and there is no way to change them to MMol/L which is the normal test format used in the UK. This should be clearly stated in the description of the item (which it isn't) and not left for reviewers to make people aware of. Extremely misleading listing. Absolutely useless meter for the UK market and, considering it's a MEDICAL device, should be removed until the description is amended to include ALL important information.

Easy reliable usage but low battery on reception.
The device is easy to set up and is of a good, reliable quality. A little disappointment on reception doing the first two readings; message to replace the flat battery asap. It is a shame that some quality check did not take place before. The battery is supposed to last a couple of years.

Happy purchase
Get on really well with this. Only downside is the app which does not let you delete readings sent from device so can't share one monitor.

Wrong units for UK
Similar to other reviewer I am disappointed this meter is set in US units although I am in the UK. Nothing in the general description stated this. You can change the date settings but not the blood units. Manual says you just divide by 18 but whether I'll remember three months down the line (this is a back up meter) is another matter.

BEWARE DIABETICS THIS TESTER IS WRONGLY CALIBRATED AND DANGEROUS
I purchased this meter as a replacement for an old worn Contour Next tester. Didnโt use it immediately. Set it up as described. My husband who is Type 1 diabetic used it and got a reading of 14.6. I suggested we compare with the old meter to see how they compare. The old meter gave a reading of 7.3, exactly half. I gave him an injection based on the old reading of 7.3. I contacted Ascensia who said they no longer make the meter. They said they are foreign imports and should not be on sale as the calibration is for overseas, not the uk. They are sending me a replacement Ascensia meter and weโre very helpful. They said they had had many calls relating to these meters. Itโs fortunate we still had the old meter to compare otherwise our injections would have been double what they should be resulting in constant hypos. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FROM AMAZON OR EBAY. contact Ascensia for guidance. I have received a full refund after returning it to Amazon. Thank you Amazon.

Great device, supplies widely available, and more...
I love my Contour Next One. Its accurate. The strips are reasonably priced, and most importantly, the strips can be found at practically any major drug store or supermarket, unlike the glucometers that require a subscription and force you to be at the mercy of the shipping department and parcel service. It comes with a control solution, so you can rest assured that the readings you get are accurate. The case is small enough to fit in your front pants pocket, and holds the glucometer, lancet pen (included), your test strips container (the starting kit only has 10 strips, but that's enough to get you going), a zippered pocket with a resealable baggie containing 10 lancets, and a space you can put alcohol swabs (not included). I have been reusing the baggie, because feel the netting on the zippered pouch would snag loose lancets, probably shortening its life. The app is easy to use and is available for iPhone and android smartphones. While it is more than adequate, the Contour Next One is also compatible with other quality apps. I prefer to use the premium version of an android app called Health2Sync, which will pair via bluetooth with this glucometer, and also pairs with my scale and blood pressure monitor, allowing me to easily record all my health data, and track my nutrition intake, then send a detailed report to my physician before my appointments. All in all, Bayer's Contour Next One is an inexpensive, widely available reader with everything you need to start monitoring your glucose.

Excellent little meter, perfect for home or backpack
I've been a T2 diabetic for many years, but lately have been wanting a meter that syncs up to my iPhone and Apple Health without me having to do much. This little meter works perfectly for that. It has Bluetooth and connects to my iPhone. When I want to test, all I do is open the Contour app, and then do my test, the meter does a little 5 second countdown and as soon as the number is displayed on the meter, it is also instantly displayed on the app. It was very easy to link the app to Apple Health, so all my glucose readings go straight there as well. The meter comes with a little case and a starter can of only 10 test strips as well as some lancets and a lancing device. HEAR me, and do yourself a favor- replace the lancing device with an Accu-Check Fastclix. You will thank me later. The most painless lancing device there is. I am very happy with this meter and it is definitely my new go-to and what I tell others to get. Shortly after buying the first, I bought a second to leave at work. Highly recommended.

Great meter
Love this meter. Easy to use and comes with free access to an app to track numbers. Love that itโs small and easy to hold. Doesnโt need a massive drop like other meters and results are quick. My go to meter.

Awesome deal
Works flawlessly for me. The meter stores every blood glucose (bg) reading with date and time. It can also store the meal status ("fasting", "before meal", or "after meal"), but (unfortunately) ONLY if you select it immediately after the bg measurement. Android app: You can edit each reading's details (whether fasting or before/after breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack), medication taken, physical exercise status, and you can store one picture (eg of a meal) per reading. It displays a small but decent graph of bg readings across the last three days, albeit only in portrait mode on my phone. It automatically uploads all data to their web server, but I haven't discovered if there is any use for this feature or whatever it should be called, especially since there is no online-data sharing with the downloadable windows software (see below). Downloadable Windows GLUCOFACTS software: Clunky and appears unfinished to me, but it's adequate, allowing you to upload meter readings by USB (but not by bluetooth). GLUCOFACTS looks like it's meant more for a nurse or doctor managing several patients, but it's still useful for individual use because it can graph the reading history, spot trends in the history, and export its data to spreadsheet and other formats. But GLUCOFACTS links neither to their web server nor to the android app, so any data edits or notes you may have added while in the android app does NOT update anything in GLUCOFACTS (or vise versa - GLUCOFACTS to android). So the android app and GLOCOFACTS don't link together at all. In fact GLUCOFACTS doesn't even store any data to the computer, so it completely re-acquires all meter data every time you reconnect its USB cable. Perhaps this missing feature, that would benefit each consumer, is missing due to privacy restrictions that would be required in the clinical setting of multiple patients? Still, I find the GLUCOFACTS software useful, even tho it seems it wasn't designed for individual consumers like us. Overall, one cannot beat this deal, and it more than fulfills all the promises they make. My criticisms are merely requests for added features.

A small fork factor machine with excellent app
Itโs relevantly smaller device that I ever used. I am diabetes over 15 years. I opted this small form factor device for its Bluetooth capabilities. However it additionally have a more reasonable information management application. I am able to record additional values and even medication taken. It sets times for meal and attempts to automate possible before / after meal readings. Application show in real big writing with color codes and that is indeed well thought of by company. Results come out in 5 seconds and same time in my app as well. I can see a chart of values over period of time. And averages too. There are some customizable settings that I have not tried and used machine with its defaults. It was easy n straight forward to have first reading from machine. I did not use its lancing device as I bought genteel. So far so good.
