It is OK
It is a reliable trimmer for general paper cutting, but if you need a more precise cutting equipment ( for small labels, flyer and etc.) I would suggest to look for the better option.

'Good' is a relative term
I only purchased this trimmer after reading the reviews; for AND against. Yes, there are 'negatives' - the flimsy build, the inaccurate guide, the squeaky rail - but I put these up against what is for me the more important factor - price! For much less than a non-squeaky, accurate, "Ironman" trimmer I have one that does what I need (with some care). I don't have the cash or the need for a better model. The squeak mostly goes away if you press down a little as you push the cutter head along, and is helped enormously if you rub some 2B pencil lead on a piece of paper and in turn rub that over the guide rails (graphite is a great friction-reliever!). Within ten minutes I was so used to the 2-3mm adjustment needed to position the paper that I can get perfectly acceptable results every time now. And not throwing the trimmer around when not in use should help with the flimsy construction! Would I like a 'better' trimmer - yes - if someone else is paying. For me this is a good balance of quality against price. If you are strapped for cash and can put up with some weaknesses then there is no reason not to buy this. If you must have precision, weight and silence then you must spend more.4**** overall.

Dissapointing
Bought this to replace an identical model which I've had for a couple of years and I thought was getting a bit tired. Used the new machine for cutting 220gsm card, very dissapointing, the cut edge had a slight 'rolled' edge to it, reverted to the old machine, cuts perfectly.

Great
Really pleased.I got it for cutting the boarder nicely on autographed photos. It cuts well - BUT the reason for only four stars and not five is that for a perfectionist its not a clean cut on photo paper, there is some very slight raggedness to the cut however you can smoothe this down with a finger and it is good enough for me. For some it wont be good enough. Its light weight and a good size for up to A4 yet still compact . I am very pleased.

It cuts through 2 piece of good quality paper cleanly
It cuts through 2 piece of good quality paper cleanly. 3 pieces and the cut is feathered. My bad, I didn't realise it was as shallow as it is, I was used to having a deep base that allowed me to line the A4 paper up using the lines on board. The blade is apx a couple of mm off and the plastic guide to hold paper moves. Overall, once the p&p has been added I feel it is too expensive for what it is.

Does the job!
Used the trimmer as soon as I received it. The slider is a little stiff but I'm hoping this will change with use, however it does the job and cuts in a straight line!! The packaging says it'll trim 10 sheets max at once but I believe this will result in a jagged edge so I'll be sticking to trimming between 2-4 sheets. Overall this neat trimmer is perfect for light use.
