Remember remember the best babies ever
These are the Jelly Babies of my childhood. Proper flavour before Bassetts gave them names and introduced shapes and faces ( baby bootle, bunting and whatever ). These are the Babies of Tom Baker’s Dr Who and real proper sweets. Lemon lime orange blackcurrant raspberry and pear flavours. Absolutely delicious.Once upon a time the UK had magnificent confectionery companies. World leaders. They made the sweets of our childhoods for us, our parents and grandparents and beyond. Jelly Babies were one of these great sweets. And in the 60’s when Bassetts bought Barratt their power in the fruity and liquorice sweet market was huge. Tom Baker came along in the 70’s and made Jelly Babies huge in the UK. Remember the proper Jelly Babies before Kraft (an American soft cheese company that bought up Cadbury Bassets and ruined those two brands forever) came to Uk confectionery? Bassetts used to do an okay baby, in the 90s they named them and introduced a pink one. Thankfully Cadbury Bassetts sold the Barratt brand before the clueless Kraft brand bought Cadbury Bassetts and so we can still enjoy the Barratt Brand Jelly Baby. Confused? You shouldn’t be. Barratt sweets live on in the safe hands of a UK company, Tangerine Confectionery. Thanks guys these Babies rule.

Good value bag of goodies.
I bought these as a present for a jelly lover. However I did manage to snaffle a good few of them purely for research purposes. good strong original flavours far better than some value brands. Good value in my opinion.

Photo not correct
Despite showing a picture of meerkat sweets these are normal jelly babies so go by the description not the photo. Which unfortunately I did not do.
