I’m in a place now where 1st through the 3rd floor all have the same exhaust vent in the bathroom. Recently it stopped pulling air out. Maintenance is compeltly incompetent so I went ahead on my own and installed this to pull the stale air out of my place while also protecting the bathroom from mildew. Maintenance doesn’t even seem to care about the fact that long term this is very damaging and bad for one’s health.Anyways this device is perfect. I can’t seem to understand why there are any negative reviews on it at all. It’s perfect.Also, this can’t be found in store anywhere. Amazon is simply the best.Thank you for saving me from breathing humid and mildew air and co2 air from having no other place to escape. I’ve been struggling for a week now with sleeping due to the Dallas heat and humidity with this building being run down. Installed a window ac unit and now have this fan going. At least now I know the air in here is much cleaner with stale and humid air having somewhere to escape finally. Life saver. Thank you

For its size.it moves a fair amount of air. Is a little noisy.

I installed this in the floor of my mobile lab since there was no good way to have a clean cover on the fairly thin wall, but that's okay. It does an amazing job of air exchange with makeup air coming from an opening portlight in the door as well as a couple of small screened vents.It can dramatically clean the entire space using an air compressor to kick up dust and then extract it, with the laser showing thick dust transitioning to clear air within about 5 minutes. My more common use is via Home Assistant control, monitoring the CO2 proxy for human breath as well as VOC levels from some of the work I do. All that is really good and it's located at the biological end of the trailer so clears smells and humidity from cooking, shower, dirty dishes, and porta potty.My only complaint (and it's a bit of a nitpick) is that the the speed controller has a cyclic hunting in the 22 to 23 second cycle range, audible at all speeds. This translates into being much more aware of it than you would be if it was just consistent background noise. Pitch rises slightly, white noise gets a little louder, then it settles down, then repeats... with absolute periodicity. I can observe with the spectroid app after removing other variables (wall voltage and frequency, smart switch, and elasticity of internal air mass from makeup air rate limitation). It's definitely the controller.So that's annoying, but otherwise it works well and the panel itself is very low profile. Absolute sound level is no worse than what I would expect for something like 300 CFM at 25 w... it has improved the quality of life in the trailer considerably.Installation note: okay to leave a nice wide pencil line around it and leave a little slack with the jigsaw! I was too precise and paid for it with a lot of filing. Also you'll need to have a notch at a 45° mark to handle the cable exit unless it's actually going on the other side of the wall. In my case it couldn't, so that was fiddly but expected. I tossed the normal damper which of course becomes irrelevant if the fan is vertical, and added a rear facing louver with screen to keep critters out. I also added a top cover with foam edging to to prevent air flow in extreme conditions.

Easy to install and works well for bathroom side wall vent

Used this to ventilate a hot closet. Moves a lot of air. After installing I turned it on and left it running for 2 years. About 6 months ago, it started developing an intermittent rattle that you could hear through the wall into the hallway. Then last week it started to sound like a diesel engine at full throttle and then finally gasped and seized. Bearings are totally shot. But $35 for 17,520 hours of service? Can’t complain too much I guess.

This fan appears very well made, has a strong airflow and has reasonably low noise. The variable speed control works well and the rubber mounts help keep motor noise from being transferred to the mounting surface. Overall, a real quality exhaust fan for a very reasonable price!

I like a fish fry, and this exhaust fan is ideal.I installed it on an exterior wall in position to capture all the moisture from the pan.This exterior fan is an excellent value, and the high quality speed control is excellent.It is surprisingly easy to clean, a good feature. If I could easily remove the fan blades, even better.The noise level is controlled by the fan speed, even most loud it isn't loud.This extractor fan does not rattle or make any other noise.It is perfect for my use.My kitchen thanks you!If installation seems like a daunting task, I recommend working out the position until you are satisfied the studs inside the wall are located and the siding outside is considered.I have 14" cedar siding.I drilled four holes, using an extra long drill for exterior walls, around the cardboard circle provided from outside after I was satisfied with measurements from the window frame with the position inside. I measured both inside and outside, checked and double checked. Then I made the four pilot holes.It was just right, so I made the initial cutout using an appropriate oscillating saw blade. I used the 8" circle hold saw I purchased for the job after the initial cut in the cedar siding. I didn't go all the way thru, stopping after penetration of the hold saw center drill. I went inside to finish opening the hole from inside.If I could do it, I think you can or at least know how.
