a must have for curious children!
I bought this book for my daughter at Christmas (she's 6) and 7 months in and she still loves it. She takes this book with her on trips (even to the cafe around the corner). I found it very entertaining myself. It's fully illustrated with some crafty things to do (we made the match box spy kit). She's learning about morse code and other codes, she goes on (imaginative) adventures, this book has really inspired her in her play. It's fantastic.

The Official Spy's Handbook
As a gift for my 10 year old grand daughter...I've had a quick look through the book, but may be a tad too old for her, but who am I to say. Good illustrations & text & loads of good spy themed projects, hints & tips...I loved the book!!

Great book on becoming a secret agent.
This is a book that I enjoyed reading as a child and will now pass on to.my children to read and have a go at the activities. It teaches a lot of skills about awareness of surroundings, code making and breaking and is just an awesome read.

Buy this for your kids. Let them grow up disillusioned and disappointed that they didn't become a spy either....
When I was 8 I genuinely believed I would grow up to be a spy. This book was on the whole the main reason for this. Now that I am 44 and reflecting, I have to say I am disappointed that I didn't manage to become a spy. Particularly as on this book is quite convincing in giving you the tools, information, and challenges that one must use and overcome to become a spy. I mean I'm pretty sure I've never used code wheels or invisible lemon ink in my life but at least I can grow old content in the knowledge that I know how to hide something in a secret drop location should I ever need to. Buy this for your kids. Let them grow up disillusioned and disappointed that they didn't become a spy either. I bought one each for both of my kids. Just to see how disappointed they turn out too.

Recipient liked it - was a gift for a young child
Recipient liked it - was a gift for a young child.Appears to have lots of activities and reading passages too. Probably typically suited for advanced readers aged 5-7 or for children aged 7-9 where the child is progressing well (or fine) with reading at school.
