I really like this helmet bag
It is a well constructed bag and should last a long time. The two things I did not like was the ends of the para cord draw strings on the zippers were not soldered closed and the hooks on the bag are plastic, I wished they had designed it to use replaceable aluminum D rings. Still it is a nice helmet bag, a far cry better than the old style helmet bag I was issued when I was a flight line mechanic in the Air Force. Since I'm retired I will get plenty of use out of it as a range bag and an overnight bag.

Huge helmet bag!
The bag is roomy and can effortlessly accommodate a large flight helmet with extra gear. In addition, the helmet bag is well-constructed, and with the shoulder strap, it is easily transportable. This was a terrific value and a smart purchase!

Un-regretable Purchase
Just received my flight helmet bag and I’m pleased. It works for my intents and purposes. It’s well made and unlike the military issue bag, this has ample Velcro for your nametapes, patches, rank, etc. I was never a fan of having to embroider all these things on the original bags.

It isn’t Army issue but close enough
The bag is well made. It’s designed very close to the Army issue helmet bag except it is made of heavy nylon. The clips for the shoulder strap are reinforced nylon instead of metal. It gets a lot of use and is holding up fine. My only complaint is it isn’t quite as big as the Army issue bag. I use a Gentex HGU-56/P and you have to “roll” it in and out of the bag, eat cup first, to get past the zipper opening. There is plenty of room inside, you just have to get by the zipper. Other helmets may fit fine. I just can’t drop it in the bag.
