A Solid Value
This is (imho) essentially the same umbrella that others on Amazon are charging up to double the price for, sans flashy fake chome details and such. It's strong, solid and is easy to open and close, although once you've collapsed it (with a touch of the same button on the handle used for opening it), you'll need to push the collapsed umbrella down toward the handle; this requires both hands because of the necessary spring tension for auto opening it each time. The fabric seems to be coated with Teflon for water repellency, and construction seems study for the most part. There is some minor rotational play noticeable only when you twist the handle while the umbrella is open, but I'm pretty sure that's a reflection of design/manufacturing limitations and not qualitative factors. It comes packaged in an acceptable card board box, but you might look at another more expensive model (or brand) if a gift box is is important to you. Overall, a solid and seemingly durable and reasonably compact umbrella right out of box. The zippered cover adds a nice touch of class.

If you need a pack along umbrella, this one is it.
The umbrella was delivered today. I checked it out, it's built like a tank. I think it will work real well. My old one has a broken rib. I think I can fix it and make it a car umbrella. Yours fits perfectly in my rolling case. When you are walking around Downtown Chicago, it's nice to know that rain will not be a big issue. The open and close button works perfectly, and that is a real handy feature. It quickly slips out of the case, and opens with the push of button. When you are out walking and a surprise downpour starts Those are very good features.

I just love the convience of this travel unbrella from Tadge Goods
I just love the convience of this travel unbrella from Tadge Goods. It comes with a cover to keep it clean, also. It is a perfect size to carry around, easy to use for sure. The umbrella works very nice and opens and closes very easy. I love being able to have in my car for any rain we get. I like mine so well that I would buy for a gift if given a chance to. I would highly recommend.

Great, sturdy umbrella
Wow, it is great to have an excellent umbrella. I usually keep a cheap umbrella in my backpack, but needed a new one. I decided to skip getting another cheap umbrella, and find something a bit more sturdy. I saw the reviews on this umbrella, and liked what I read. So I ordered one. The first thing I noticed about this umbrella is the weight. It is quite a bit heavier than the usual cheapos. Then I pressed the automatic open button. This thing opens with a huge amount of force. The retract button is great too, and makes it so much easier to pack away the umbrella when getting in the car. This umbrella is build like a tank. I bought three more for the wife and kids. I am thinking of moving to Seattle just to use it more.

Bit shacky
I bought this as I needed something to keep from getting rained on while walking to my car. It works for the job decent enough and is really cool how it pops open at a button click. Problem is its not very strong, the wind pushes it around very easily with the handle offering no strength for the top. The handle is also not very large making it annoying to support. With the size it also doesn't make it easy to hold with my arm having to almost be above me for usage.

I just moved to Chicago and within my first few weeks it rained while on my walk to work. I opend by standard travel umbrella and within minutes a small gust of wind grabbed it and snapped two of the spines rendering it pretty useless. So upon searching Amazon I found the Tadge umbrellas with great ratings and a great price so I gave it a shot. I've only used it twice but I can already tell it's much more sturdy than any of my previous umbrellas and the Teflon coating allows rain to just flow right off and easily shake off any remaining drops. I would highly recommend this product and will probably buy additional when my other umbrellas suffer the same fate in succumbing to Chicago's weather.

Very nice umbrella!
What are you looking for in an umbrella? 1. Easy of operation. Check. This Tadge umbrella springs open with the touch of a button...and closes with another touch! 2. Good size. Check. This isn't your "golf" umbrella, but it also isn't some tiny umbrella that you'll be getting soaked under either! Great size for one (or two if needed). 3. Durability. Check. Well, so far, but it seems well made, has 10 of those little arm things in it and has a nice carrying case to go with it. All in all, this is a great umbrella and considering it's one of the least expensive ones I've seen, it's a great buy.

Broke after 2-3 uses
Purchased just before Christmas. Felt like a good solid umbrella, but broke after only 2-3 uses. Button does not work. Umbrella will not stay open or fold up closed. As an engineer, my first inclination is to see if I can fix it. However, I thought I would first check to see if others were having a similar problem. Looks like I am not alone. Wonder if Tadge will repair or replace it. I would be happy to attempt repair myself if they provide instructions.
