Great Question. The small holes are intended to assist with the deflation of the lung bag after breaths have been given. You will notice that Prestan put these small holes in all sizes and quantities of their lung bags.

Do you get 50 lung and 50 face masks?

Hello, This is 50 lung bags that have built in face shields. There are no separate face shields in or with this item. However, each lung bag acts as a shield as there is a mouth cover at the top of the "neck" of the bag.

Description at top says adult/child lung and face masks. Can these be used for both adult and child mannequins?

I used them in an adult manikin. It would probably work for a child manikin as well. But it would not work for an infant manikin. The ones for an infant are significantly smaller.
