Very effective for an annoying cough. Not the best tasting but when it works this well I didn’t mind it. Also good if you do lots of public speaking as it soothes the throat

I have a long-term irritating cough. My GP can't find the cause or any effective treatment so I'm slowly working my way through various remedies. These eased the cough a little, numbed the (mild) discomfort in my throat and made a cracking job of clearing my nose. But when I balance that against the awful taste, and the odd tingling sensation in my mouth that lasted for a good 20 minutes after finishing the pastille, these will be filed under 'last resort' and my search for an effective (and palatable) remedy will continue.

You get used to the taste after a few times of using it - but I find this helps me a lot when I am having a throaty day and need to get vocal work done. Tastes a little bit like jäger smells, helps keep your throat moist - I usually swig water before and after using these as people really smell them on you. Side note if you wanted to hide that you’ve been drinking (I don’t mean like you’re on a binge - this isn’t your friend for that) but if you’ve had a glass or two at lunch, one of these will hide the alcohol smell - to be fair it’s strong enough to hide the smell of your whole day for about 15 -45 mins.
