Perfect for cosmetic repairs. Easy to use as long as the instructions are followed correctly. Covers dark/bright colours and fills picture hook holes as it goes. Works great over stain blocker.

Good product but needs extra prep
We’ve just decorated two rooms- very similar with wallpaper removed and a bit patchy underneath. One room was slightly worse, with peeling paint underneath, so we had that skimmed. Our other room still had some patches of paint and marks from the wallpaper scoring tool we used, including some small cracks, so I thought I’d give this a go.Firstly I filled the larger holes/cracks with polyfilla and sanded, as per usual. I then used the everbuild stabilising solution to try and prevent any peeling as I was painting (learnt the hard way before when using the equivalent polyfilla product and it coming off on the roller). I then applied this product with a roller.I couldn’t see how I could paint over it with the finish it left as it goes on thick and not very smooth- I therefore rubbed it down lightly with 180 sandpaper. Then I applied two to three coats of topcoat. To be honest there’s not really any difference now compared with the room that was reskimmed. It filled the cracks and sorted the very minor perfections. Whether just more coats of paint would have sorted it in the same way, I don’t know. Possibly not. Therefore all in all, if prep work done, this does allow for a really good final finish.

Excellent Product. Ignore The 1 Star Reviews
First Of All. I Don't understand Some reviews giving it 1-2 Stars. This Product Does Exactly What It States. You cant paint this on and expect it to cover great big holes in the wall. Its basically a paint on filler that will cover small defects in the wall. Depending on the size of the marks in the wall will depend on how many coats you will need. All I did was Sand my walls down, I used Polyfilla on any big marks and holes, then painted it with this. I had to go back and paint certain areas again, sometimes 3-4 times. Then when everything looked smooth, I sanded the wall and painted it with my chosen colour and the wall looks amazing. My Walls had thick wallpaper on, and lining paper underneath, then under the lining paper was this horrible green film of paint on the wall which started to flake off. When painted with normal emulsion you could see where the paint had flaked off. So i had a choice of either sanding the walls flat or using this, and this worked fine. It also covered where the scraper had caught the plaster and covered gaps between the skirting board and the wall. The 2.5 Litre Tub Goes A long way. I Did my Hallway , Stairs and landing with 1 tub and some spare. I Found it better to use a brush not a roller. I had more control with a brush and i could go back and do certain areas 3-4 times.Short of skimming your walls you wont really find a better alternative, I have my lounge to do next so will definately get another tub of this.If i was to fault this at all, it would be that it has grainy bits in the paint which means you will have to sand it after you have finished. I didnt find it needed much sanding, but you should always sand your wall before putting emulsion on anyway, so I cant really fault it.

It's thick, white paint.
I had plastered and sanded down my walls, and only had 1mm scratches and dents that needed filling. Although it was a bit pricey, I did my research and thought I'd try this product. It did next to nothing, not even disguising even the smallest scratches. You would be better off giving your walls a couple of coats of normal white emulsion.

Aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh........noooo, just no!
First of all seller was great, no issues there at all.Sadly this product is pants, while I like most everbuild products as price v performance is excellent, this product is very difficult to sand, it is like sanding granite with newspaper and believe me when I say it does need sanding after use.First use I tried a foam roller but the finish on the wall now feels like a lightly stippled artex - use less for a lighter stipple and more than a couple of passes to make it smooth and it peels off any thistle plaster top coat.....so a heavier coat was tried with just a couple of passes and the stipple was so heavy it resembled artex.Next tried a brush...haha just forget it the brush strokes are more visible than the original imperfections in the wall. Finally I actually put it on with the same technique as plastering a final skim which was the best way but not as good as actually putting a final skim of plaster on the wall which defeats the object.Bottom line if you want this product to get your wall good enough to paint them simply forget it.If you want this product to get your wall good enough for papering forget it....fill and lining paper. All in all it does not fulfill its purpose, it is expensive and major time consuming to get anything half decent a finish. Maybe that is why Wickes and Toolstation have stopped selling it.Seriously I have spent about 10 hours on about 2 metres squared including sanding and twenty odd pound for the privilege.I have used a similar product in the past which was far better made by polycell. I remember adhesion was better, its finish was more even and its more chalky finish made it great for sanding, I had great results with that product on old walls that I finally painted to a superb finish.Sorry Everbuild but while you have served my well in the past, my blood has boiled over this one and cant help feeling you owe me one!
