Grabbed the Weber 8kg briquettes for a weekend grill, and they do exactly what you want. Light up easily, burn evenly, and give a nice, steady heat for ages – perfect for slow-cooking steaks, sausages, or burgers without constantly topping up. Only minor gripe is that they kick out a bit of dust when you pour them, so maybe keep a brush handy for the tray. Other than that, no complaints – they make barbecuing proper easy and stress-free. For anyone wanting reliable, long-lasting heat without faffing about, these are spot on.

This is really solid fuel for any BBQ setup. The Weber briquettes reach a good glow in about 20 minutes, and once they’re going the heat stays consistent for a long session. According to the manufacturer, they’re ready in 20 minutes, burn for approx. 3 hours, and are made from 100% natural materials. What I like most is how well they spread heat, with no big cold spots under the grill, which makes cooking meat, veggies or whatever you’re doing much easier. Also, knowing they’re certified and from sustainable forestry gives me peace of mind. They’ve worked well every time I’ve used them. My only tiny note is that if you’re using a smaller grill or don’t need the full burn time, you might end up using more briquettes than you otherwise.

I'm always trying to find great charcoal, whether that's briquettes or lumpwood. I always find myself coming back to Weber. Is there better prices out there on other products? Maybe. Are they better quality? Not likely. Weber claims these burn for 3 hours, I think that's a stretch to be honest, even with good vent control on a Kettle grill. They'll certainly go for 1-2 hours but 3, doubtful. They're quick to light, they also seem to hold good integrity if you want to re-use them after an initial cook if you've got some left over. I wouldn't say they add flavour but I haven't noticed anything artificial about them. The actual shape and quantity provided are definitely uniform across bags. You always get consistently sized pieces with very little damage to the bag. Overall, good charcoal to get you through the seasons, just wish the price was a little lower as I tend to go through it!

Quality briquettes smell good and last for ages used for cooking a leg of lamb no top ups required.

Not the cheapest but the best briquettes I have found. Usually use lump wood but for a slower burn use these- no nasty chemical smells when burning, just a nice clean burn with a subtle natural piney aroma. Three hours burn is probably a bit optimistic though, unless in a smoker etc.

These are the perfect long burn briquette. I use these for roasting a joint or if I have an "all day" bbq. They burn for a really long time and light nice and easily. They smell fine and leave a great flavour on the food. Very effective burn and heat output.

Ces briquettes Weber sont tout simplement les meilleures que j’ai testées. Elles s’allument facilement (environ 20 minutes avec un allume-feu ou une cheminée d’allumage) et offrent une chaleur stable pendant plusieurs heures. Idéal pour des cuissons lentes, régulières et bien maîtrisées. Le rendu est top : viandes bien grillées, pas de fumée toxique, ni d’odeur désagréable. On sent que c’est du bois de qualité, compressé sans produits chimiques. Le petit plus : elles sont certifiées FSC, donc produites de manière responsable, et ça, c’est un vrai bonus. Le sac de 4 kg est pratique à transporter et à stocker. J’en prends souvent plusieurs d’avance pour l’été, et je ne m’en lasse pas.

Wer nur kurz eine Wurst grillt, braucht die hier nicht. Aber wenn man länger als eine Stunde grillen will (oder low and slow), sind die Weber-Briketts unschlagbar. Die Hitze ist wirklich gleichmäßig und hält ewig – locker 3-4 Stunden, manchmal auch länger. Ich nutze die im Anzündkamin und die glühen super durch. Sie sind etwas teurer als die No-Name-Säcke, aber man spart sich das ständige Nachlegen. Die Qualität ist top, die Stücke sind schön groß und nicht nur Krümel. Werde ich immer wieder nehmen!
