How Not to Be an Antiques Dealer: Everything I've learnt, that nobody told me

Having read Drew's last book and also having an interest in antiques I bought this book, one because this man is a god in my eyes, and two he writes just as he is saying it, simple, to the point with lots of information needed if you're starting out in the business. This is defthe book you need! I've met Drew & known him for a few years now - I'm not biast I am saying how it really is. Another great book from a genuine, no nonsense man.

Drew has a really good writing voice and I whizzed through this book.

Great insight into the business and how the antiques world is. The author has a great passion for it and it shows through this book. I myself have bought a starter stock and will look to turn over for profit. Basic but yet effective rules of the trade and nuances to quickly get you started.

Brought as a gift. Great book

This book is a manual on how to succeed in the antique selling world. It's got lots of advice and many insightful observations. I'm not going to become an antiques dealer but now have a far greater understanding of how the business works.

Really expensive and could read it in a day!!

Ho comprato il libro in inglese, spero che presto facciano la versione in italiano.Comunque un grande esperto nel suo settore.

Preso a occhi chiusi perché mi piace il personaggio e lo show, ma questo libro è meno bello del suo precedente.È in pratica un manuale su come fare l'antiquario e, sebbene molti spunti siano interessanti anche se uno non vuol di certo fare l'antiquario, alla lunga manca l'aspetto di racconto biografico che si trova nel primo libro.

An absolute bore.The anecdotes are unsubstantial and the teaching would be best presented in 10 bullet points.I love the antiques dealing and taste and reputation of the author but writing is certainly not his thing.
