Can't fault victorinox, great quality

I don't know exactly what puts the Victorinox knives apart but they are just a (excuse this) cut above. I have lots of fancy Japanese and German knives and they are all really terrific but these basic, humble, thin bladed and serrated Vitorinoxes just do it. I have tomato knives and this bread knife and they are indispensable aa well as being just incredible value for the money. They are nothing much to look at or even to hold but wow once you use them they cut like lasers you realise that they make life in the kitchen SO much easier. Highly reccomended.

Excellent for cutting loves of bread

The wooden handle is a pleasure to hold. The blade itself is sharp and a good length, which means it can go through most oddly-shaped loaves. Do note that the handle will discolour marginally if you put the knife in the dishwasher as my husband did in a bout of helpfulness. I assume some sort of coating for the wood probably dissolved or wore off during the wash-cycle. It hasn't impacted the knife's performance or handling in any way, but just for your information. This is a great bread knife, period.

Good value

Fantastic knife - really sturdy blade and very sharp - cuts through crusty bread very easily. We thought our old knife was okay until we tried this one - you can slice the loaf so much more accurately and so much quicker. The handle is very comfortable also.

This is a very simple and effective little device. It really works as described.
