Is this stone different to other makes? As the one we have stated clearly do not put in water and do not use acidic marinades as it will crack.

Hi there. I used to have a restaurant in the alps with lots of stone grills. You should not soakthwmin water as they will fall apart break up when heated. Best is to rinse lightly and scour with metal pad and washing up liquid. Cleans very easily like that.

Is stone better than cast aluminium? I am trying to choose which one would work better or if I should get a combination one of the grill. Thanks

We have only tried the stone and it works really well and looks good in the middle of the table. Aluminium after a few uses? Wouldn't it look a bit industrial on the table?

Has this a fat collector, if you are cooking burgers does the fat just spill over the edge, I try to use lean meat but sometimes they are fatty too!

I haven't used this very often, but have certainly not had any problem with the fat. There is a ridge round the edge.

Can I use Fairy Power Spray on the stone to clean it? Thanks

Normally just use Fairy liquid then wipe off. Never tried power spray
