Learning Resources STEM - Force and Motion Activity Set

Fantastic

This set is really good for combining fun and learning. You get cards with different problem challenges and even some pages to fill in your observations and predictions, like you would with a proper science experiment. Great way to experiment and practically experience these scenarios with force and motion. It definitely brings the subject to life and was fun for my 7 year old to get stuck into.

Is quite small and quite limited

Very well designed and intriguing "learning through play" set designed for children aged 5 and up. Immediately grabs attention and holds it though simple, yet cunningly designed, experiments with pendulums, ramps, vehicles and weights. Surprisingly fun and it's very easy to see how it inculcates scientific thinking while children explore simple concepts.

I love educational toys that my children can play with and learn without even knowing that they are learning. This is a great kit that explores areas of physics specifically forces and motion. The kit is made of high quality plastic and are robust so that if they dropped or played with a little too enthuiastically there is no danger of anything breaking. The activity cards can guide the play but to be honest I just let my little ones investigate themselves. great fun was had by all

A unique toy that supports an understanding of motion, friction and gravity. By testing out how cars travel down smooth compared to bumpy slopes, for example, children learn the basic concepts of friction and speed. Suitable for ages 4+ in my view.

I found this to be quite an interesting science set - comes with various pieces of equipment, the inclusion of the activity cards is great but I did feel the quality of the plastic items themselves weren't that great. But the highlight is the activity cards, which are great for learning new concepts.

This is another great set from Learning Resources which is a brand I love. They always provide engaging activities for children to do while learning about scientific principles - in this case force and motion. My children loved playing with the set (but sadly only once and this is the main reason why I'm only giving this 4 stars. Once you've done the activities, there's not much motivation to come back and do them again unfortunately)

Mit einem ausführlichen Experimentierheft mit Bildern und Platz für eigene Einträge sowie mit Experimentierkarten ist das nicht nur ein Aktivitätsset, sondern im Grund ein toller Experimentierkasten für den physikalischen Begriff der Schwerkraft. Das Heft enthält auch eine deutsche Version, die 10 Experimentierkarten sind leider nur auf Englisch gehalten, allerdings so gut bebildert und einfach geschrieben, das man es mit Schulenglisch verstehen kann (eine Experimentierkarten-Vorderseite siehe Foto, die Experimentierkarten sind beidseitig bedruckt, eine Seite führt die Aufgabenstellung und das Zubehör auf und die andere Seite erklärt die Experimentdurchführung). Die Teile sind überraschend stabil und richtig groß, liegen also gut in der Hand. STEM bzw. MINT bedeutet ja wissenschaftliches Lernen (MINT = Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften, Technik), und ich finde die gesamte MINT-Reihe von Learning Resources echt durchdacht.). Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung.

Used it for a class lesson on force & motion. Great hands on practice for kindergarten.

Love this brand and this particular force and motion toy. The flexibility of this toy makes it fun and educational. My son is a little young for this toy, yet he is discovering how weight and grade affect force.
