Excellent Magnetic Knife Holder
I bought two of these magnetic knife holders. I mounted a bamboo cutting board as a backing for the knife holders and attached them to the bamboo cutting board. I mounted the knife holders over the screws holding up the cutting board, so the whole assembly looks quite tidy with no screws visible. The above arrangement gives room for my small collection of knives with plenty of space left over if I buy more such cutlery. It is very handy to be able to grab a knife off the wall while cooking. The wall mounting saves counter space when compared to using a knife block. The magnets in the knife holders are very strong and easily hold up my Chinese knife which weighs 300g.Highly recommended. Five out of five stars.

Exactly as advertised
Brilliant knife holder, comes with adhesive strip to stick to surface and screw option as well as being magnetic on both sides. Good strong magnet and looks really neat with my kitchen knives on, it gives me extra surface space and knives within reach for cooking.

So good I came back for more
This is the second of these I have bought. it's a significant unit and offers 2 methods of fixing: screws or self adhesive. I have used both, now and found each to be more than adequate. The magnetic pull is impressive and there is no risk of your knives going anywhere you don't want them to. The length is good and offers a decent amount of room for a number of knives. One would probably be enough for most and 2 would certainly cover the rest of us.

Strong, long, erm, doesn't pong? I should write a song
I have one of those cheap plastic ones with the metal strips and this one is in another league, it's seriously strong. I bought it to hold my lockpicks on a stainless steel sheet I have on the wall, I chose this rack in particular because it's magnetic both sides. The plate that would screw into the wall comes attached to the back with a plastic sheet seperating the two - if it wasn't for the plastic sheet I don't think I'd have actually been able to separate them!As I mentioned, I've stuck mine straight onto a steel sheet, so if you wanted to pop it on a fridge or similar then you'd have no problems. I can slide it with some effort, but it would take some real effort to pull it off. The steel plate that comes with it has two countersunk holes so if it were fitted to a wall then it would be simple enough, it comes with the screws and rawl plugs you need.It holds my lockpicks no problem but I've tried it with heavier objects and it's really remarkable how much it can hold. In my case that's not so important, but for knives etc I think it's a very safe way of storing them. You can lever a knife off easily enough but otherwise it's going nowhere. So all in all it's a brilliant product and I'll probably buy another. It's more expensive than some but well worth it, cheaper than others but I don't see why you'd spend more when this does the job so well. It looks pretty nifty too. Five stars from me, excellent bit of kit.

Functional
This is a very useful tool in our kitchen. It's not particularly stylish or beautiful, but it holds all of our knives and some other metal things besides. It was easy to install and seems incredibly durable; we've had it up for about two months now.

Keep your fingers intact
Just installed my knife rack, it's a good rack at a reasonable price. I had read a lot of the reviews before buying it especially the negative ones. There was really nothing to put me off, after all it's just an individuals opinion, as long as there is not too many with the same view, only then it becomes a concern. It's easy to fit easy to clean and hygienic. As you can see in my photos the magnets are adequate and powerful enough to hang almost any kitchen utensil. I have shown a knife on top of other knives just to let you see how strong the magnet is. Don't forget that's now two layers of metal between the magnet and the top knife and it can still hold it, the stainless steel front of the magnetic strip below the knives is also held on by the same magnet. Every set of knives will be different as to their magnetic qualities too, the way that they are ground and how precise the finish is, will make all the difference as to the way they hold and the way the knives will sit on the strip. If a knife can move or won't stay at the angle you want, then either the blade of your knife or the stainless strip or both are not perfectly flat. My smaller knives adhere better one side than the other. The other point someone made, as to the screws and rawlplugs not suiting them. Without knowing what type of surface you are fixing your magnetic strip to, they would need to supply every combination of fixing kit with every purchase to satisfy us all. What a waste it would create when we are all supposed to be looking after the environment. PS, the rawlplugs supplied will only suit a tiled or solid brick wall. Another gripe from someone was the logo on the strip, spoiled it for them. You could hang the cleaver over it. Last but not least, when putting the front plate onto the wall bracket, it could give your fingers a serious nip, the magnets are vicious. When fitting, tilt the top of front plate towards you, match the bottom edge of it, to the bottom edge of the wall bracket and keeping the bottom edge of the magnet held firmly against the wall, fold the magnet up gently, keeping your fingers away from between the top of the magnet and bracket, it will still take you by surprise even when you expect it. Thanks, I hope this is of help to you.
