Effective and unobtrusive
The instructions that come with it are very small and hard to read so make sure you watch the video to see how to fit them and once you've done the first one they are really easy to install. They have good adhesion, are very effective and completely hidden from view - except for the tiny sticker on the door or drawer. We have a very active and inquisitive granddaughter and these have successfully foiled all her attempts at opening the cupboards. Probably the best feature is that when she's not here the catch can be de-activated and the cupboards and drawers used as normal. It's just a flick of the switch to get them working again. Make sure the stickers are in the right place for the magnet to work and you will need two hands to hold the magnet and open the drawer at the same time so a bit fiddly to begin with. Very pleased with them and would recommend.

Baby-proof and no drilling!
These are brilliant and baby-proof. The best thing about them is that you can't see them when they're fitted and you don't have to drill holes in things - they just stick. You can either leave them unlocked or so that they re-lock every time you close the doors. The magnet opening fob unlocks them instantly and the guide stickers you put on the front of the doors to remember where to use the fob are really handy. Can be a little tricky to get the positioning right when setting the template up, but when they're on they're great. My 2 year old has never managed to pull on a door hard enough to rip one off - as soon as she realises the door doesn't open she gives up trying.

Not intuitive, but good video online demonstrating - works well.
We have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. Our 6 year old has recently started to "make breakfast" for the youngest !! A delightful thought of course.... But we don't like him in the kitchen alone (especially after he fed raisins to our dog the other morning, leading to an expensive emergency vet visit .... the dog is fine by the way !) So I was looking for a door locking system of some sort, to secure the kitchen cupboards (and the high ones with the nasty stuff in, as he can climb pretty well now too !!) I spotted these and they had good reviews, so thought I'd give them a go. They work very well - I have to say. They appear a little flimsy, but once in place, they 'lock' the doors well enough that you won't open them without considerable effort and noise. I wouldn't say they are child-proof, but they are certainly child-resistant ! The mechanism is released using a magnet, which is actually really neat & works well. The instructions for fitting are not easy to follow in written form, and the devices themselves are not intuitive when you first look at them. But there's an excellent video they've put on YouTube (and sent a link to by email) which demonstrates it well. Once you've done one or two, the rest go on in 60 seconds each - and it becomes quite simple to do. I used all 10 on various kitchen doors, and they took me about 30 mins in total, including time to figure out how to do it well. If I did it again, I could probably fit them in 10-15 mins. Only downside, once I figured out how to fit them, is that you can't necessarily fit them to all types of door. They also won't work on drawers or similar due to their design (which gets wide at the base). This isn't a criticism as it's not what they're designed to do. But something worth pointing out just in case. I tried to fit one to our integrated kitchen fridge, but there's not enough space between the concealed fridge door & the cabinet door, to allow the clip to be placed (it's only about 5mm wide, and the clip base is wider) - so I will need a different solution to prevent easy access to the fridge. But overall, a good quality product & very good value for money.

Brilliant
I ordered these safety cupboard locks for my daughter, to replace her old locks (different brand) which had broken after 4 years’ wear and tear from her, now 5 years old, son. She needed new locks to keep her 16 months old daughter out of the kitchen base units. As my daughter had fitted the previous locks I was most surprised when she said these were ‘no good’, and that she couldn’t fit them as they were the wrong sort. So I’ve only just done them for her. They came nicely arranged and packaged in a clear preformed plastic ‘tray’, with a card backing. There was a photo picture on the front of the card, under the locks, and some instructions on the back, but neither of us had been able to follow these. However, a few days after delivery the seller had sent me an email with a video link and additional installation instructions and, although I found the first one a little tricky to get in the correct position at the first attempt, I felt swell pleased with myself when the job was finished. I think these locks are primarily designed to be fitted horizontally at the top of full height base unit doors/under a worktop, and not on the shorter ones with a drawer above. All my daughter’s base units have the latter, except for a fixed dummy drawer front, where the sink is. I tried fitting the first lock to the dummy drawer but it was not deep enough, and was unsightly. Then I realised that, even if it had fitted properly there, the other doors had pull out drawers above so that would not work. I noticed that the video showed the locks fitted vertically inside a drawer so I then tried them vertically on the side panelsof the cupboards. Eureka! Each one was a bit fiddly to fit, and different from the previous one, because some of the doors had dropped a bit, but it was worth the effort - I was so pleased with myself when I’d finished. Once installed, there is very little ‘play’ (some play is necessary), and the locks are not visible from the outside when the doors are closed. The pack included ten (2-part) locks - the hook, and the oblong bit it latches on to. These 20 pieces all had a double sided 3M sticky pad attached There were also 6 double sided sticky square pads and 6 double sided long pads. It didn’t take me long to realise that these were spares/replacements. I had gently placed the locks in position whilst fathoming out how they worked, so I was able to pull them off again before they stuck firmly. I had cleaned the surfaces with lighter fluid - a brilliant grease and ‘sticky stuff’’ - so no harm was done to the sticky pads and I didn’t need to use the spare pads. The small oblong catch sits on the very edge of the cupboard’s inside wall, but the square magnetic hook has to be set about 2cms inside the door’s edge. I suppose this should be obvious, but it not made clear in the instructions. I made a template from card so that I got them all at the same level - making it easier to locate the position of the magnets from the outside. Two magnetic knobs were also included, and each one had a magnetic base to sit in. The base came with a double sided sticky pad on its bottom to attach it to an over worktop kitchen unit, tiles, or a wall etc. The knob then attaches to the base via magnetism. Alternatively, the magnetic knob can be attached directly to a metal appliance such as a boiler, fridge, cooker hood, etc. out of the reach of children. I forgot to say that these locks can be temporarily prevented from locking by moving the small lever in the opposite direction.

Good value, easy to install, holds up well.
We bought these locks because our child is at *that* stage - installation was easy, and the guide piece was invaluable! The paper guide, only complaint is that the photos were too small, could do to be bigger (as per my partner). The locks adhered quickly - we installed one to get a feel for it, and even though a 24 hour rest/adhesion period is recommended, the lock held well when the child tried 12 hours later. We installed the rest before leaving for a small trip so they had plenty of time! We tried to install one too close to a screw in the door - my partner did not put 2 + 2 together to realise the screw might mess with the lock, and the lock kept falling off. That's MY theory, his theory is that the lock may have been faulty but we did have 2 spare so it wasn't the end of the world. A change of position and a new lock and it worked fine! Appreciated the inclusion of light and dark stickers depending on the finish of your cupboards, and also appreciated the inclusion of a wall mount for the keys! Overall, a good value product that seems to be holding up well so far!

Easy to install, easy to get past
Really easy to install, doesn't take long and has everything you need for that. Put on our cupboards due to child stealing from cupboards, he worked out very quickly if you push the cupboard door slightly away from where it's attached it just comes out itself. So we put one on the top and bottom of cupboard doors... which is now a bit more annoying opening them as we need to hold a magnet in two places and open the door... but its now not able to be bypassed by child. (Even a toddler could figure out as they tend to pull when opening stuff anyway, so you'd need to double up, but there's loads in there to do this)

Worth the price and work really well.
In my and my husbands opinion, these child locks work the best! They are more expensive and it does take a bit to fit them in but its absolutely worth it. Once its done it works without a fail! We had it now fitted for almost 2 years and they are just great. Our toddler was not able to open any of the cupboard with these installed and he is now 2.5 years old!
