Good stuff - works as a citrus soil mixer
This is great. Reasonably clean, hydrates well, easy resealable bag, stores great, pieces are the size advertised, no bugs. I'm using it as 1/2-2/3 of a citrus potting mix, and the trees are doing well after being in it for 6 months.

Great quality, have purchased multiple times over several years
Great quality. I've bought several times and will continue to buy this product from this seller. Comes well packaged. I use in my soil mix and as a mulch/ soil cover in my indoor plants to help prevent fungus gnats.

Good size soil amendment for water retention and drainage.
Good size for creating drainage . Just remember, this is really made from PINE bark. If you are adding it to or making your own soil, just remember to check your soil pH. Also, the bark has some water retention property. Not for use with succulents. Great for making a general potting mix, but it can alter soil pH . Vermiculite doesn't.

I give up
I just needed bark for my phals after my regular brand got tariffed to heck. I misjudged and got the small, and it's just tiny little chips, basically wood cereal. Whatever, I have 100 mf plants at this point, I'll use it. Then I tried to order the medium and apparently accidentally ordered the large. These chips are enormous, as big as my hand. I'm not trying to spend $150 on bark this week, so I guess I'll be snapping these apart by hand when I repot my orchids. Seems like good bark, anyway. EDIT: Actually you know what, I'm really loving this small bark, it's super useful. FYI though I have found a few small rocks and threads of plastic

Would repurchase
This orchid bark is great quality. The pieces are a good size, clean, and well-draining. It works perfectly for orchids and aroid mixes. The bag was full and exactly as described. I haven’t noticed any mold growth.

Great for Orchids and Holiday Cacti
The small bark helps provide stability for the orchids because it fits in better than large pieces, avoiding large air pockets that can happen with larger bark. I like to mix in a small amount of small chunks of spagnum moss with it. This bark works well for my Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter cacti to. For the cacti, I mixed 1 part of this small bark, 1 part perlite, and 1 part african violet soil mix.

29qt bag smaller than 18qt bag and half full
I purchased a plant from a lady that was growing beautifully in this bark. I was so impressed that I ordered the 18qt bag for $34. The bag I received was only half full, which was disappointing, but it's a good quality and I'd seen how well plants grew in it. It was clean and perfect size and I immediately repotted some of my plants with it. I still had many plants suffering in another type of bark, and I wanted to change them over to this, so I ordered the 29qt for $45. Again I received a bag only half full, but what upset me was the $45 bag was smaller than the $34 bag! There aren't any quarts written on the bags, nothing indicating how much is in the bag. I wasn't able to change over the rest of my plants. The product itself is great, half my plants are doing well, but without anything printed on either bag, I don't have any way to determine what size bag I received. The 29qt bag was smaller than the 18qt bag. I'm so disappointed.
