CROSS Beverly Deep Purple Lacquer Medium Nib Fountain Pen incl. Premium Gift Box – Refillable Catridge Pen

Fantastic fountain pen at an extremely good price point. Sits really well in the hand and writes right out of the box. The ivory is a lovely colour with a pearlescent finish that looks understated and stylish. The cap is a pull-off-push-on, not a twist cap. The cap comes off extremely easily when the pen is posted, so if you like writing with the cap posted this might be a show-stopper for you. For me, not so much - the pen writes extremely well either way. The Cross screw-in converter fits this pen. The pen comes boxed and with two black Cross cartridges. There's some initial irregularity with the ink flow for the first few pages, a bit of flooding, but this settled down for me after about 6 (A5) pages. That could have been due to the ink I am using (J Herbin), although I haven't had that problem with my other fountain pens and J Herbin ink. I've attached a photo of the pen with a writing sample.Cross is discontinuing the Beverly, which is a shame, because even at full RRP of £40 this is a splendid fountain pen for the price. When you get it at sale price, then it's even more of a bargain - any discerning fountain pen person should snap it up while they're still available.

Writes really smooth. Lovely deep purple lacquer. Looks much more expensive. Important: need to buy an ink filler: doesn't need to be CROSS. Really enjoy writing with this.

Lovely pen, it has a good weight to it. Nice meduim nib, smooth to write with. I found this seller to be very good value and they provided a quick service. I would purchase from them again. I love the pen!

I bought this for my mum for her birthday, she really loved it! It’s a beautiful colour, the photos don’t do it justice, and she loves the weight and feel of it. She’s put purple ink in it already so it’s clearly a keeper. Very nice, so much so that my dad bought her the black one too! Definitely recommend.

I usually very much like a Cross nib, and I was taken with the look of the Beverly so I bought one (the purple one) and was really happy with the ink flow and the smoothness of writing ... until one day, upon opening the cap, I was left with the body of the pen in my right hand, an the broken plastic inner part of the nib block stuck inside the cap in my left hand. I was very disappointed, especially since I liked that pen. I bought another one .... 18 months on and not after heavy use, the same happened again! I am definitely not impressed. Between that, and the floral collection's designs, which are gorgeous but fade in no time, Cross have disappointed me too often. It is a shame because their nibs are very good.

Lovely pen which writes beautifully, the nib is smooth and does not scratch the paper as you write. The colour, pearlescent is beautiful I have had several comments already about how it looksThe only negative which is also a positive is that the lid is very stiff to get off, which is great because it cannot easily come off in my bag but it is also dangerous for anyone sitting beside me as they might get knocked as the lid comes off! ;-)

En color morado es preciosa y la pluma se desliza perfectamente al escribir. La calidad Cross a un precio estupendo.

Nicht genau hingeschaut habe ich, als ich diesen Füller zum Kauf auswählte. War aber trotzdem kein Schaden, denn der Füller ist in Ordnung. Die etwas starre Feder werde ich mir - zur Not mit einem ganz feinen Schleifmittel - schon beibiegen. Und ansonsten: es ist ein Cross-Gerät, d.h. ordentliche Qualität hinsichtlich Material und Verarbeitung. Der eine Punkt Abzug geht eigentlich auf meine Rechnung, weil ich mir "ästhetisch" etwas Anderes erwartet hatte. Aber, wie gesagt, ich habe nicht genau hingeschaut! Schreiben tut das Teil prima!

Der Füller schreibt leider nicht … geputzt, neue Patronen… egal er versagt nach 1-2 Zeilen den Dienst

stylo bien présenté dans son écrin, très agréable à la main et facile à charger, seul petit bémol , pointe moyenne mais cela me convient très bien, ne fatigue pas la main et bel objet
