My personal experience has been that's its definitely louder; I mainly play it at a similar level to before but it sounds less stressed when doing so and the volume scale on the display is about a 3rd lower to achieve this loudness. This is when connected via high level speaker inputs. Perhaps if you're connecting via RCA the Pumpkin only has standard 2v outputs rather than the more common higher 4v or even 6v outputs modern after market stereos tend to have? **Q: When you wire this in do you piggy back power off the fuse on the rear of the headunit ?
