great affordable keyboard
Iโve been using the TECKNET Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for a while now, and itโs been fantastic! The keys feel really responsive and satisfying to press, which makes gaming and typing super smooth. Itโs held up great over time with no issues, and the build quality feels solid and durable. I also love the design โ it looks sleek and fits well on my desk without taking up too much space. The backlighting is a nice touch, adding some style and helping me see the keys clearly in low light. Overall, this keyboard works great for both gaming and everyday use. Definitely worth the 5 stars from me!

Seems decent enough!
Feels fairly solid (although feels that it is entirely plastic rather than metal like more expensive alternatives), works a treat in linux (even the multimedia shortcuts), and the volume of the keys in operation is notable (compared to say a laptop-style "chiclet" keyboard) but not obnoxiously loud... however your colleagues at the office would probably be a bit annoyed at having to sit next to you for 8 hours though if you were to use this in an office scenario. It feels nice (so far) to type on this ... time will tell if I end up getting huge fatigue and RSI from the extended key travel compared to chiclet laptop style keyboards. The LED lighting is of course pretty lame, but the good news is that this needs no drivers and you can turn off the lighting effects entirely just using a few key combinations. Once the lighting effects are off the keyboard is a fairly subtle discrete thing. I personally would have preferred they used a normal font for the keycaps rather than the "cool"/"gamer" font they used, but that really is nit picking. For those that care, the switches are blue in colour. I have no idea if they are the same as "blue switches" in other mechanical keyboards when it comes to feel and noise.

look for the green light
really nice keyboard and easy to use, does save battery by switching itself off so need to ensure the green light is on before you start typing, but overall very pleased and great value compared to competitors

Cheap and most definitely cheerful....
I am writing this review using the keyboard and I'm most impressed with it so far. I paid around ยฃ21 for it, normally seeing it on sale for around ยฃ30. Whilst it was exceptional value at the price I paid I would have been more than happy if I had paid full price. The key movements are very positive in their feel, not sticky nor offering too much resistance when typing, there are no annoying clicks when using it.. The size of the keyboard allows for good key spacing and the clarity of what is written on each key, as well as allowing the blue light to be seen through those markings, just helps when looking for keys. The various controls over the brightness and settings for the blue light, no changing of colour, has made it comfortable to use in bright light or dim surroundings. The keyboard has a very solid feel to it, the build quality is very good and the it certainly seems heavy. As my primary reason for buying this was the keyboard I can say that the mouse was a bonus. I already use a Logitech G502 mouse on my main PC and so the mouse which was bundled has gone to an HTPC, where it will be used rarely. The mouse does not have the same feel of robustness but seems positive enough on movement and control, all the features you would expect from an optical mouse with scroll wheel etc. As I expected I might prefer the Logitech but then again that mouse alone cost three times more than I paid for this keyboard and mouse. I would find it difficult to be critical of this keyboard, all the functionality is there, including media control, and the mechanical keys are a joy to use. Excellent packaging and good contact from customer support asking if I am happy with my purchase. A thumbs up from me :)

Number and control keys are confusingly part of the main keyboard
I liked the quality feel of this keyboard and the noise level but the numbers and other control keys on the right were part of the main keyboard with no gaps between. I was finding that I was pressing them in error as they felt part of my keys. Now tried another ergonomic one which I am keeping despite it being a noisy space bar.Number adn cotrol keysa re

Great build quality and solved the problem with my laptop soundcard
My HP laptop soundcard is not the best, so when I connect my headphones to it, I can a slight hissing/buzzing sound. After multiple repairs, HP were not able to fix it. So I started to look for some other ways to solve the problem. The USB sound adapter solved my problem that I was having with my laptop. I just need to connect the adapter to my laptop, and I sometimes need to change the sound settings to change the default playback device, and then it works right away. The sound quality is much better than the internal sound card. I am now able to connect my headphones to my laptop using the adapter, and listen music or watch movies without the annoyance of the buzzing sound that I could hear through my headphones which came from the soundcard of my laptop. The adapter looks great too, has a great metallic finish to it, very light and portable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has the same problem I had with their laptop/pc or even if you just want an extra headphone and microphone port.

A Keyboard worth EVERY cent you spend on it. An absolute BARGAIN at the price.
THIS KEYBOARD DESERVES A FIVE STAR REVIEW If in a hurry, see addendum posted 4 November 2017 in the bottom of this review. A bit of background as to why I decided to give this a 5 star rating might help, so take a minute and read on. I date back to the days of the first IBM PC's. As the older folks amongst you might know, those PC's came with beautifully made mechanical keyboards, or to be more accurate, the keyswitch mechanism was mechanical.. Those keyboards were made in IBM's big plant in Greenock (Scotland), where I spend many many days. Especially the IBM AT PC's had a fabulous keyboard, so much so that people often hooked that keyboard up to different makes of PC's, that keyboard was so dammed good. The IBM PC is no more, long gone and nowadays we live in the days of cheap and cheerful throw away stuff, and that includes keyboards, with their soft "spongy and rubbery" feel.. Not so this TeckNet Arctrix Mechanical gaming keyboard. Hold on for minute... I do NOT play games, at 71 years old, I have many other interests and gaming is certainly not one of them. A few years ago Chillblast UK build a bespoke PC for me and I splashed out and ordered a VERY EXPENSIVE Cm Storm Quickfire mechanical keyboard. Those keyboards, made by Cooler Master, are not cheap, but I venture to say that even that keyboard was still beaten by the IBM AT PC Keyboard qua feel. Enter the TechNet Keyboard which I bought from Amazon recently as the CM Storm had died due to the abuse given to it by my ten cats. . As I am still a wee bit biased after all those years, I would still go for the IBM, qua mechanical feel, but in every other aspect the ARCTRIX is just as good, if not better. Beautifully backlit, with back light intensity that can be adjusted to your liking. Nice fold-out feet, if that is yr wish, a good solid feel ands a nice numeric keypad to boot and as you would expect a nice decent braided cable. Let me state again, I bought this keyboard for typing on, often at night and decent backlighting is an ABSOLUTE must for me. This keyboard offers plenty options for you die hard gamers out there, but I can't comment on those as I do not game, but if they are as good as the keyboard itself, I am sure you will be pleased and find just what you need. (BTW, if fancy moving light patterns take yr fancy, yes this bloody keyboard does 'em too, but they are well and truly wasted on me, I'm too old for a fancy light organ ! Oops... almost forgot. UK layout, with the ยฃ key where you want it. And another nice feature ? The backlight after a while switches off, but reactivates the very second you touch any key. that's a really nice feature... i think. In summary, after two weeks of hammering these beautifully backlighted keys, I have zero hesitation in rating this keyboard with a 5 start rating. While I did not use their technical support line, I am told it is excellent and they show a real and genuine interest in their customers. All in All, go for it. I am sure that this is one purchase you will never regret. This is a genuine purchase and not a freebie review as there seem to be more and more these days on Amazon. Albert ADDENDUM to above review. 23 July 2016 I've now hammered away on this keyboard for a good month. In my opinion, the test and crucial question on a purchase is very simple: Knowing what you know now, WOULD YOU BUY IT AGAIN ? The answer is a resounding YES. So much so, I bought a second one and gave it to a friend who is equllay delighted with this keyboard. You just cannot go wrong with this one. ADDENDUM 4 NOVEMBER 2017 Remain absolutely delighted with this keyboard, after it having been subjected to abuse by my ten (10) resident cats. Previously much more expensive keyboards died well within the year but this baby keeps on going ! Cannot recommend this keyboard highly enough. Albert Albert

Perfect!
Big enough to make in-office days easier but small enough to fit in my backpack. I also love how long the charge lasts!

Great battery life.
It works well and has a very long battery life. I do wish I could make the function keys stay on by default, but it's a minor issue.
