The best suncream, great for eczema prone skin
I’ve purchased this suncream multiple times now, and I can honestly say it’s the best one my family and I have ever used. My child has eczema, so I’m always cautious about trying new skincare products. Thankfully, they’ve never had any reaction to this suncream. It provides excellent sun protection, absorbs well, and doesn’t leave behind a sticky or greasy residue like many other brands. It feels comfortable on the skin and is easy to apply. It’s also fantastic value for money compared to many of the more expensive suncreams on the market. For the quality, you really can’t beat it. I’ll definitely keep buying this and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Good value and profits not going to big cosmetic companies!
I had previously read about this product and subsequently, saw my GP about suspected sun, skin damage. I asked what sunscreen he recommended and he immediately advised Altruist. It is exceptionally good value for money; absorbs really and doesn’t leave a sticky residue, like some sunscreens do. The added bonus is that every purchase helps children in Africa. Very good product.

Fantastic product with some room for improvement
As another reviewer has said, it's not quite there yet but still a FANTASTIC sunscreen. I've been using this every day for just over a week now. The first day I put it on my arms, hands, neck and face. Face: I'm aware that Altruist does do a facial sunscreen which I'm yet to try but I think this product still deserves scrutiny for use on face for all the parents out there who just need to slather their impatient kids in sunscreen before they run off to make sand castles. I digress...anyway my initial impression is that it really doesn't get on well with stubble. It tends to pill around facial stubble which immediately makes it a bit of a nuisance for men unless you are super clean shaven every single day. Having seen another reviewer's picture of the product pilling on their clothing, this seems to partially prove my point. I also noticed some build up in my neck creases. I have also experienced mild stinging in my eyes resulting from using the sunscreen around my eyes and eyelids, I'm guessing this indicates that the product slides/migrates a little (this might be unavoidable with most sunscreens to be fair.) There is also a strong chemically taste that seeps into my mouth throughout the day. However, I want to add that the eye stinging and the taste is nowhere near as bad as I've experienced from other sunscreens like Jason or Malibu...and don't let this put you off trying this product since we all have different sensitivities. It's worth mentioning that I now use La Roche Posay Anthelios invisible fluid SPF 50 on my face (around my eyes and on my lips) and I don't get the same issues that I get with this Altruist sunscreen. La Roche Posay is quite expensive though so I look forward to trying the facial sunscreen from Altruist which I'm hoping will be more comfortable! As for the rest of my body I still happily use this product...it is a little on the greasy side but not enough for me to want to stop using it. It's safe to say I have definitely found a body sunscreen that ticks all the boxes for me including being very affordable and fragrance free (sadly the latter seems to be something that's hard to come by in affordable sun care products.) I'd happily recommend this product for the body and would encourage you to try it on the face and see what you think.

Effective both at preventing sunburn and on sensitive skin
My kid has very sensitive and very pale skin. Although other creams we've used prevent sun burn, there is usually some mild skin reaction, at least. That isn't the case with this stuff. No sunburn and no reactions over sustained use for at least the past three years. It's also less sticky than most other creams we've tried, which is a bonus. We haven't tried it after swimming so can't comment on that, but I'd reapply after swimming with any cream anyway to be on the safe side. Recommend trying this stuff for anyone with sensitive skin.

IMPRESSIVE PRODUCT
Most impressed with this product and reasonably priced. I like as you know it is a true SPF 50 as some products I have tried I feel they may not have that high SPF 50 incorporated in the product. A big plus is that it has been created by a dermatologist so I know it has to be a good product. Please keep producing as I will always buy from you.

Highly recommend this cream. Not expensive but first class
This cream is quite thick so you don’t need to use a vast amount. Price is right and I feel safer in the hot sun now.

No eye irritation!!! 😄😃😀
Purchased after hearing an interview with a founder of Altruist. I’ve never found a suncream that is easy to rub in, doesn’t leave a white mess and isn’t sensitive around the eyes. Altruist claimed to be all of these things. I’m so pleased I found this suncream. You can put it on like a moisturiser all over your face including eyes and eye lids. Does not smell, does not irritate, and is easy to absorb. I can replace my moisturiser with this which means I’ll always be protected from the suns damage. My only negative comment is that it is a little sticky but this seems to lessen after about 30mins and is not certainly a reason not to purchase it. *Edit* After some use I can say it isn’t sticky or greasy! I can tell because my hair doesn’t stick to my face like it usually does when I have suncream on! Top marks from me. It’s a little expensive compared to say Aldi or Lidl’s own but I’m happy to pay the extra for face protection that is kind to the eyes. An all year round must.

Good for sensitive skin
Love it. Doesn't give me breakouts. Best sunscreen I've tried for the money spent.
