Review: Great budget tuner - This is a fairly good tuner with a nice clear display and more functionality than I'll use. I use mine for tuning my bass, and it works well. I love having 2 outputs, one that mutes while I'm tuning, and one continuous output, giving me a choice. I recommend having one of these! Review: works same as a boss - 30 odd quid , excellent , its a good tuner , plasic case but 30 odd quid , the boss is metal and thats 100 but essentially they are exactlly the same , unless youre doing gigs every other day and throwing everything around and stomping on it to use the cut off like an 80s hardcore guitarist while fighting off stage divers .... well , you dont really need a metal one .....do you? the batteries dont last long in these types of pedal and they are anoying to fit , get a 9 volt adapter and a 4 gang . where im from the word of choice to use when describing anything good or that went well is "boss" so this pedal is boss , even if it isnt . ## Features - Accurate Chromatic Tuning: Features 3 guitar modes, 3 bass modes, and chromatic setting for precise tuning in any musical situation. - Bright LED Display: Super-bright display ensures easy tuning even in low-light environments like dark clubs. - Versatile Tuning Options: Supports standard, detuned, and custom tunings for guitar and bass. - Convenient Footswitch Operation: Stomp the footswitch to activate tuning, with a status LED indicating activation. - Dual Output Options: Main Out jack cuts the signal to your amp during tuning, while Bypass output maintains a constant signal. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000SJJCX4 | | Amperage | 30 Milliamps | | Best Sellers Rank | 64 in Musical Instruments & DJ ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ ) 3 in Guitar Multi Effectors 4 in Rack Effects & Signal Processors | | Brand | Behringer | | Brand Name | Behringer | | Colour | black and wine red | | Connector Type | 2.1mm Barrel Jack | | Controls Type | Pedal | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 1,971 Reviews | | Finish Type | Painted | | Hardware Interface | HP-HSC | | Included Components | Behringer TU300 Chromatic Tuner, User's Manual | | Item Dimensions | 7 x 5.4 x 12.3 centimetres | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 7L x 5.4W x 12.3H centimetres | | Item Type Name | Guitar Tuners | | Item Weight | 0.73 Pounds | | Item weight | 0.73 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Behringer | | Manufacturer Part Number | TU300 | | Model Name | TU300 | | Model Number | TU300 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Product Warranty | Community. And you can check this 9V power supply adaptor for this pedal : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01JZ19B0E **Q: will this work on my bass guitar?** A: I’ve used it for bass guitar with no problems, however I’m sure a compressor pedal specifically designed for bass would probably give better results **Q: Can you use a bass guitar with this?** A: Hi Matthew, absolutely, a bass sounds great through it. The chorus in particular thickens the sound nicely and you'll have lots of fun playing with the pitch function. Enjoy! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great budget tuner *by S***Y on 11 June 2026* This is a fairly good tuner with a nice clear display and more functionality than I'll use. I recommend having one of these! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works same as a boss *by E***A on 17 July 2024* 30 odd quid , excellent , its a good tuner , plasic case but 30 odd quid , the boss is metal and thats 100 but essentially they are exactlly the same , unless youre doing gigs every other day and throwing everything around and stomping on it to use the cut off like an 80s hardcore guitarist while fighting off stage divers .... well , you dont really need a metal one .....do you? the batteries dont last long in these types of pedal and they are anoying to fit , get a 9 volt adapter and a 4 gang . where im from the word of choice to use when describing anything good or that went well is "boss" so this pedal is boss , even if it isnt . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value but not faultless *by M***D on 9 June 2013* Ok so I received this yesterday just before band practise with a bunch of friends. So one plus was very fast delivery, received Saturday AM after ordering Thursday AM, and that was on the FREE supersaver delivery. Benefits are as you'd expect. Other people were tuning with apps on phones (which is a good way) except everyone needed to be quiet for this, so being able to tune with a pedal was a huge advantage. It is also very well built. I was quite surprised how chunky it was for the money it cost. Now the downsides and the reason it is not 5 star: I use a HSS Strat and the tuner does NOT like the Humbucker pickup. It gets confused as hell and you cant tune on that pickup. Not an issue for me, just switch to a single coil and it works great. But it is something you need to know when deciding to buy this or not. If you have a guitar with only Humbuckers then this might not work at all for you. Again, this was just my humbucker it couldn't deal with, just be aware. You need to have the volume up quite high on the guitar for it to work properly. If the volume is low on the guitar then the tuner is slow to react if it reacts at all. This means you end up activating the pedal and muting your guitar, you then turn up the volume to tune and then when you unmute again you end up with your volume too high! Very annoying when playing with other people and trying to set your levels. This is something you can compensate for when you set up your levels at the beginning of playing. Final, as said before by others, BATTERY! It eats 9V batteries. Put a new one in straight away. The tuner only seems to switch on when cables are plugged in to it so overnight the tuner was left in circuit but with the amp off and this morning the battery was dead! So this will get very expensive to use it on batteries. So straight away I'm off to buy a power supply! EDIT: It does say on the back to unplug the jacks to preserve batteries, so I'll see how long a battery lasts now that I'll follow the maker's recommendations! So in conclusion, good value for money as it is very very cheap for what it is, so if you can deal with the negatives mentioned, it will do you well. If you need something that you can use on battery for a long time and your guitar has Humbuckers and no single coils, you might need to look elsewhere. Fine for me though! ## Frequently Bought Together - Behringer TU300 Chromatic Ultimate Guitar/Bass Tuner, Grey - JOYO DC 9V Guitar Pedal Power Supply (800mA -1A) AC Wall Charger Adapter with 4 Way Daisy Chain Pedal Cables (8.8 FT), Compatible for Most Effect Pedals (Tip Negative) - Amazon Basics 1/4 Inch Guitar Patch Auxiliary Cable, 6 Inch, 6-Pack, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/48249153-behringer-tu300-chromatic-tuner-pedal-for-guitar-and-bass-bright](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/48249153-behringer-tu300-chromatic-tuner-pedal-for-guitar-and-bass-bright) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
