It's compact easy to clean lighter weight than old machines overall happy with it. It hard to find a one sandwich toaster this is perfect for storage or left on worktops it doesn't take up much space. Nice white colour contrast well worh black iron grill for toasting. Makes a perfect toasty sandwich. Comes with instructions and a few recipes and suggestions on toasting for the first time so happy with purchase. Would recommend. Good value for money.

Excellent little machine that toasts well .not as small a toastie as led to believe by some reviews.solid sturdy.quick..yes you can't use the really big version of bread slices but normal slices are good.. brilliant for portion control.. brilliant for going abroad as takes up little room.ok not so brilliant for large families if you are going abroad but personal use very very good.no idea about the light as me personally I plug in wait to hear up a little then put my bread in and check it after a few minutes..common sense really..no I wouldn't send it back after leaving it plugged in all night and expect it to turn off by itself as one reviewer had stated..we share this world with idiots..I bought mine really cheap on an Amazon warehouse deal. Hope it wasn't hers I bought!! So yes happy with my little toaster it's a keeper

This works well but it's far too small for the average slice of bread. I had to cut a couple of inches off the bread before it would fit in. The first time I tried it I didn't cut enough off and there was cheese oozing out everywhere. It's easy enough to clean, however, but lots of wasted bread and cheese. I haven't used it since.

Arrived and used almost immediately. Works perfectly without problem and handily stands on its back edge when not in use so taking up less space. I specifically wanted a single toastie maker but most of them are doubles and some of those are even cheaper than this single model. But since I don't need a double, I saw no reason to get one. Even if I used only one side of a double, it would still take up more worktop space as I keep it out all the time. I've found that keeping gadgets in a cupboard means I use them much less due to being "out of sight, out of mind".It's simple to clean, just wipe over with a damp cloth when cooled down. Spilled ingredients like cheese etc. wipe off easily from the non-stick coated plates though the plates are not removable, unlike some other makes.There's a silly mistake in the instructions which state that you plug in and wait for the light to come on to indicate that it has reached operating temperature. In fact it's the opposite, the light comes on when you plug in and switches off when it reaches operating temperature. It will then come on and off again as necessary after you have put in your sandwich as the thermostat regulates the heat.When reviewing any new item, you cannot know how long it will last. Sometimes it works perfectly for a time then it deteriorates or fails too soon. My policy is to update reviews in the light of later developments but as it stands, this single toastie maker does the job perfectly.

Well these things have been around for probably fifty years and very little has changed. This being a single makes more sense if you don't have a large family. In one review it claims that it's slow. In truth it heats up from cold in a little over two minutes which in my experience is as least as quick as a double unit. I know that you can get a double one for the same price but this is only using half of the power and bearing in mind that the power used to heat up at the start is in the end wasted when it is left to cool down. In the long term it will save you money. Even though it like everything else is made in china it is nice to have a UK business address on the box. If you only need a single sandwich this is a quality item and is well worth buying.

Appalled how rubbish this is. Instructions say to wait for light to come ON for the toaster to be ready. Light comes on as soon as you turn the toaster on. On waiting for the light to go OFF, to see if that was what was meant, the plates are still not very hot at all.Am having to toast my pieces of bread first before using in the toaster to get a ‘crisp’ toastie. Am only putting cheese in the toastie and medium bread but you have to force the lid down, which the instructions say you should not do. How am I supposed to toast my toastie without pushing down the lid to clicking it in place?Although cheese is melting, after a while, it is not very hot.Would send it straight back but do not have box and with current restrictions on leaving the house I am not able to.

Takes some getting used to to get size of sandwich as it’s smaller than the usual. For person on their own is great little toaster, does what you want. Easy to use easy to clean and easy to store. Worth the cost to make tasty toasted sandwiches.

Ha llegado la sandwichera pero no la podemos enchufar porque tiene enchufe inglés. No es normal! Debería venir con adaptador o avisarlo. Yo lo compré en Amazon.ES de España!
