My scalp never felt clean and my hair was becoming more damaged as time went on. Back in Ohio we'd had a water softener, so I looked for something that could be attached to myshower head. You should try the filter for three days, then take a water sample and send it to the lab to see how many contaminants are left. **Q: Does the filter work when upside down** A: This is not a gravity filter. This filter works by water pressure forcing it through various chambers inside , I’m sure it will work even if its installed at any angle. That being said I won’t recommend this , ive had it for just about 6 months now and every time I use it rusty brown water comes out then clears , EVERY TIME . I complained to the company, the customer service rep says the same thing occurs in the one that she has in her own house.
