Quality Noticeable Results After the First Use
Immediate results from the first use. I noticed that Mom's hair was looking like straw from all the city added chlorine. Skin was dry too. After one use, her hair's sheen improved and looked better (not 100% improved, but noticeably less straw like). I have used these filters over the years quite successfully as I've moved for work.As for the Nov '25 one-star review, that user possibly applied the plumber's tape incorrectly, insufficiently, did not tighten the join fully or did not push the white filter into the threaded end as instructed. Those are the reasons it would leak. The cracked neck sounds like that user became frustrated at the tenth re-install and torqued it beyond the recommended levels to stop the leak. Never had a problem with the product in the past 15 years of using and installing for family and friends. The product is fine.

Makes a Difference
Our water is very good but a bit alkaline leaving water scale on the shower and dry itchy skin. Though skeptical of these things I decided to try it. It works well. The shower is staying much cleaner and our skin and hair feel better. I bought the filter only because we really like our shower head. Everything fits up but you have to offset the the hose and body of the filter a bit because of interference. Most existing hose / shower head combos would have this minor problem. Remember that the water has to flow through the filter before coming out the head making the temperature changes longer. Overall I'm pleased.

I can tell the difference!
Water feels noticeably lighter and my hair is so much softer and less irritated. Highly recommend!Only thing I’d caution is that it wasn’t the easiest to install. I’d recommend using plumber/Teflon tape around the threads of the screw-in parts and a wrench. Once installed, it works really well!

Terrific shower filter
Great filter, easy to install and use. You can feel the difference on your skin and the hard water minerals, rust and bacteria that accumulate on the water spigot.
