In accordance with DIN 58647-7, the usage time (escape time) is 15 minutes. This means, in practice, that the actual filter exposure time may vary depending on the levels of harmful substances and environmental conditions. Limited protection against so-called low gases (organic gases and vapours with a boiling point of <65 °C) and at high concentrations of hazardous substances. No protection is against carbon monoxide (CO). The signal colour "orange" means the escape hood carrier is also visible in the dark. Supplied in airtight sealed triplex aluminium barrier foil bags with cardboard packaging. The escape hoods have been especially designed for stationary storage. When needed, the box can be easily carried by the carry handles on the top and immediately opened.
