All eleven episodes from the ninth series of the irreverent Channel 4 family drama following the lives and loves of the anarchic and dysfunctional Gallagher family. Led by father Frank (David Threlfall), the family live on a rough council estate in Manchester and get caught up in all manner of scrapes, though they largely retain their good humour. This series kicks off with half of the estate, including the Gallaghers, being evicted to make way for Operation New Start - a plan to turn the scheme into an urban wasteland. Frank also struggles with the fact that Carl (Elliott Tittensor) is a newly-qualified policeman.

Loving it so far. Can't wait for Series 9 to arrive.Frank is not as bad or as drunk or as drugged or as useless as he appears.He's very much the all seeing, all hearing Oracle. Despite seeming to be uncaring and totally selfish, he really is not.He sees things and shocks those in need by his kind words and caring manner.Micky has really gone from a cartoon character to a real person. He may be desperate for sex but he has so much emotion. He gets hurt, he cries but god does he care about his family and friends. Shame his father could never see that fact. Liam has turned into a Debbie who herself changed as a result of Fiona leaving. Cast changes are usually a bad move but despite the briefest of explanations those that are gone are soon forgotten as those who replace them are just as brilliant. This show makes you groan, laugh, cry, nauseous, moan but by god it does ENTERTAIN

shame its lost its greatness
I used to love this show. With all the great characters and fantastic writingI have watched every episode through from the first until this one series 9,Whats happened?This is absolute rubbish the story lines have all lost there funniness and just went to pot.I was looking forward to watching this but I certainly wont be buying series 10 and 11 they are off my wish list don't buy this as you will be disappointed

Was a little disappointed with the thee first few episodes of Shameless 8, but glad to say they are back on track with 9 I just love this show, and up to season 11 not many series can have great stories and actors and still be brilliant just love it keep going guys Colin

Not for the churchgoer!
Having watched most of the series when televised, it was everything I expected. Brilliant depiction of (surely) imaginary life in Manchester suburb?
