What else do you need to buy?** A: It clings to the wire on its own, so no need for anything else - very tricky though (in my experience) to attach - we finally made a bigger hole (using my husbands drill!) in the bit that was to be at the top and this made a huge difference. **Q: what diameter is the XL lamp?** A: Its basically a tad bit smaller than a football. Because of its unique design you can sculpt different shapes using the seperate patterns, so can be versatile in shape. It looks amazing and very beautiful. The material is sturdy, the concept is great, but you need to like a bit of a puzzle. I marked my pieces with coloured stickers for assembly. The instructions are not good enough: the pctures need to be bigger, and more clear and a video tutorial would be ideal. Looking at the pictures of the end result helped me to understand it better. I still have to figure out how to close it again after I slipped the lamp and wire in... So I left it a bit open and the wire is not straight because of that.
