Truly decaffeinated. Flavor is smooth and rich. Perfect for a drip coffeemaker. I add crème to my coffee and it has the familiar taste of regular coffee. I feel less anxious and much calmer because of the missing caffeine. I don’t miss that caffeine high feeling. In fact, I can appreciate regular coffee more now because I haven’t been toxifying my body with a caffeine overload. Will buy again.

This is so good. Even just the smell of the beans is phenomenal. Smoky, smooth, rich, not bitter or acidic at all. It's delicious. Price was great for the quality. Will definitely buy again.

I decided to switch to decaf coffee from Starbuck's French Roast, that I enjoyed for years. Starbuck's set a high standard for dark coffee and some others I tried did not meet those standards. However, SF Bay Decaf French Roast was a delightful find. It is very close in taste to Starbuck's but minus the caffeine jitters. It is now my go to coffee. I have a Cuisinart coffee pot that grinds the whole beans for every pot and SF Bay performs very well with the aroma of fresh ground coffee every morning. I definitely recommend this great dark roast coffee.

This is good coffee, I have been getting this for a while now. In November my batch looked dull, but it wasn't bad. This last batch the beans were shinny and had a great aroma. I guess you just take a chance when buying this. I was reading all the bad reviews on here. I watched a video from this company and the owner seemed really concerned about quality. He didn't strike me as one who would send out bad coffee. I've never had any bitter or unfavorable yet, every bag I get seems fine. I like the price seems fair since coffee these days is expensive.

I use these in my espresso maker, delicious. They were roasted perfectly as described. I love the Swiss water method of decaffeination. These are my go to beans, high-quality, delicious and affordable.

I love this coffee. I have purchased 28 bags of it and will continue to do so unless the price goes absolutely insane. I always leave it in my cart and when the price drops below $20 I buy 3 bags to stock up. The quality is pretty dang consistent, I've only ever received 2 or maybe 3 bags where the beans weren't super oily and were a bit dried out. It still brewed and tasted great. The roast is a solid French roast, smoky and rich and low acid. I can drink a cup at 10pm and still go to sleep, so it is definitely decaf. My standard brew is pour over using a cheap plastic dripper but I have also made insanely good espresso and French press with this as well. If you need to drink decaf and like dark roasts, this is the way.

I have been drinking S-F Bay French Roast regular coffee for over 20 years and I think it is a really good and consistent roast. Lately I have started to drink decaf coffee as my evening treat, made with my French Press. I have tried a couple of different coffee brands. It is not easy to find a French roast Decaf in the stores, so I was delighted when I saw that Amazon had my favorite brand as a decaf. Well, S-F Bay French Roast is not really bad, but when roasting the beans, they have crossed that line when it doesn't taste good anymore, but burnt. The over roasted taste is dominant, not the coffee taste. I don't know if I have got a bad batch since I am used to that the regular coffee is always spot on, every time. My guess is that I will try another brand next time.
