Neat and Tidy
I needed a new card reader to replace my old one which had a damaged pin for the C.F. slot so stopped working. This reader arrived within 24hrs of purchase (using Prime). It plugged in and worked instantly with no problemswhatsoever. It's slim and compact with a cable length of ten inches from the back of the reader to the tip of the USB plug which is enough for my needs as the USB socket is on the front of my computer. The download speed is the same as the old one was. Having said that I do use full frame RAW capture from my camera, so that could be the reason. 100 shots to an external Hard drive could take 45 seconds to a minute or so. Not exactly slow in the scheme of things.

Does the job
Nothing fancy - just does the job. Clean design and nice silvery colour.

This product is absolutely brilliant. Recognised as a device immediately and downloaded files from all the slots, especially the CF slot which was my priority. It seems to be well built and the insertion of the CF card (which can be dodgy) seemed secure and smooth. My only minor criticism is that the cable is a bit short and although this is manageable with my all in one computer it may be a problem for a PC with a tower without an extension lead. But this should not detract from an excellent product which does the job it is supposed to do.

Not at all bad.
So, why the lack of 5 stars? The CF card slot is too thin to take microdrives (yes I still have those), the second issue is the USB lead is a bit short, and lastly, the USB lead is not that flexible as a result on a flat desk the whole this moves and worse still when plugged into my MacBook Pro wants to keep flipping over upside down.

Poor quality, pins bent
Bought specifically for flash cards, very poor quality, pins bent on the card reader so won't read. No indication as to which way to insert card. Overall I would not recommend at all, went in the bin.

Brilliant bit of kit
Already had a SD card reader, but realised I was no longer able to access old photos stored on various CF cards. Having checked the reviews on Amazon, decided this one sounded just what I needed ... and it was! Really simple to use, no problems with it being recognised by my pretty basic laptop, perfect! Well not quite: only 4+ stars because the cable is very short - not a problem for me but could well be for others.
