How to Achieve 100% in a GCSE - Guide to GCSE Exam and Revision Technique

Well written, easy and helpful read.
Love this book! All the best for being written by a 16 year old (no more accusations of being a nagging parent as someone their own age is telling them the same thing!) Clearly written, covering everything you need to plan for revision, set goals and decide how best to approach your exams in a way that will work for you. An easy read, not in any way patronising. I love the author's aspirational approach, he really makes the reader believe they can achieve. My daughter has really enjoyed the book and it has helped her to think about how she can organise her approach to her exams so as to minimise stress and maximise her potential.

really helpful
This book is so great to read if you want to know how to organise yourself for GCSEs. The person who wrote this is in fact smart and is determined in achieving high.I found it got straight to the point and had different strategies for different topics such as having cards to help you learn and knowing what kind of a learner you are e.g, a kinesthetic learner or an auditory learner...Overall I would keep this book safe as it comes in handy.

reccomended by daughter
Only real disappointment with this book is that (in common with other ebooks I have purchased) it has been poorly prof read. The errors still present should have been picked up by anyone seeking to present a manual of work at this standard.Robert makes several key points most important of which is that the self-motivated, hard working and methodical student will do best. There are horses for courses and each individual needs to discover what type of learner they are: how their memory works. To that end he outlines many different methods and their strenghts and weeknesses. Some of the references to online sources of revision, especially in the Languages section do not seem right. I was unable to find the web site quoted. For all that, this book deserves to do well as the encouragement and straight talking is just what is called for. I couldn't help thinking, as I read, that not much has changed in 50 years; as echos of my parents advice came straight off the page!

Works magic
I bought this for my sister for her kindle and she read it before she went to sleep that night. The next morning she has cleaned out my desk and was using it as her revision station. She's devised a time table that now suits her, which to me looks pretty complicated but it works for her and for the first time in a while she has actually sat and done revision for more than 5 minutes. I know that this book has helped her a lot and I can't wait to see her results!

Simply bursting with helpful hints
It was a month before my first gcse when I picked this up. So glad I did. If your looking for exam and revision techniques than look no further. it also gives you personalized revision and exam suggestions based on certain subjects ( English, maths, IT etc.). to extend upon this there is a test to find your learning style and techniques that you personally would benefit from. Hope it helps you!!:-)

A good book
This is a good book. The main strength of it, is that he's actually acheived the high grades so he's writing from his own experience. The trouble is that the text is too big and there's too many blank pages/spaces so it's like he's trying to make the book look longer than it actually is. He's included lots of completely different study methods so in this way the book doesn't seem very focussed. I just think there are other GCSE revision books that are simpler, more focussed and with more pages. This book is a good effort which is very motivating and encouraging. He proves that his success is down to planning and hard work, and not from luck.

Important help
I think you need to consider the fact that:1. This boy was 16 when he wrote the book- that shows his credentials as it is.2. He has 10 A*s.Robert has better exam tips than most people, because he has been there and done that, and not some person over the internet who does not practise what he preachesThis is not a cgp revision guide but it hits home certain tips and advice that will come in handy. He also shatters the poplar belief of " you can't revise english," something I've always preached (sorry).

Very efficient book
I think that the book is very efficient in summarizing the tools needed to do well in a GCSE exam. Advice is given on subjects and it all comes from a person who has done well. As a year 11 student I will be re-reading the book to gain more tips on things that I have missed. An important book for those with up-coming GCSEs.
